Great little place with a dual personality! Port Social bar to the left, Marwan's Bistro to the left. The menu has something... tasty for everyone, big or small! We came for dinner at the port social on Saturday night. We sat on the patio. Our server was great. Good attitude and was very... professional. The menu was great because My wife is gluten free and a vegetarian. She had lots of options..we had cocktailsall night and they hit the spot they were delicious. I would highly recommend this place. Food is great, specially the curry. Problem is waiting too long for the food. Staffs are friendly. Overall is fine.
The food tasted great and the portion size was big. The staff were friendly, but we felt a bit rushed by our server to pay and... leave even though we didn?t sit for long. Also, the prices were slightly higher compared to other restaurants that serve similarfoods. Read more
Visited the place with few friends as we planned to visit to explore the city. I heard about Port Perry but never get chance to... see it. The city is very closed to Oshawa. I was looking for some place to eat Indian food and learn about Global Bistro. Therestaurant mentioned that they prepare global meals so you can try Thai, Korean, Chinese, Indian and other meals. I tried outIndian meals so my first feedback is that it is not Indian. So if you are looking for good food, it is good place but notIndian. My friend msg tried other options. I am giving one extra star to staff who Is very nice. So here is my food list: -Garlic naan ***** - Veggie Tikka Masala **** - Butter Chicken *** - Virgin mojito *** Garlic naan is served as starter dish. Itwas little surprising but was nice. Veggie Tikka Masala is not paneer tikka Masala so will have vegetables but no paneer. Iliked it. The place is busy and quite popular locally. So if you are visiting city then it can be good option. A great find as we explore Port Perry this weekend. Appreciate them checking our vaccine certificates. Enjoyed the sumptous... food, comfy place and the pleasant staff. We ordered PEI mussels in spicy Italian tomato sauce, Bruschetta Flatbread, awardwinning old flame and cheddar soup, roast rack of lamb, grilled chicken linguine al feed and upside down pear cake. This may look like a pretty basic butter chicken but it was actually really good. The flavour was great and the rice was... perfectly cooked. The chicken was a tad over cooked that?s why 4/5 but I will definitely be back to try there other dishes! Read more
