I've been eating sushi since I was 6 years old and I'm very particular about spending money on it. If it isn't exactly what I... want I won't go back to a place. Right up the road from me is the best nigiri appetizer and specialty roll lineup I've seen inall Pasco County. I see some complaints about the speed of service but to tell you the truth I don't have any issue like that.Incredibly fresh and priced at exactly what you would expect for a delicious time. I've only had their sushi side but they'rehibachi looks and sounds great edit: I just found out this place does $9.50 (now $10.50 post inflation which isn't bad)signature rolls on Sunday lunchtime. I am guaranteed to come here once a week with that, so I will be trying all 24 specialtyrolls & whenever I can I will update this review with copious images of them. Recommend. One of the best places around. I eat here when we can afford it. Not that it?s crazy expensive at all, but you know... how it is. The food is right on, if the front of the house can be a bit hit or miss. Covid considering, they?ve done a greatjob. I?ve been many times, if that says anything. My wife and I have eaten at the bar a couple of times and had a great dinner.I?ve had lunch at the sushi bar - serious yum. The sushi is good. I probably should have mentioned that first. With whomeverI?ve been with, whether it?s just my wife or the whole family, there?s sushi consumed with delight. They take the kitchenseriously here. I appreciate it. I would give this place a 3, only because of the waitress. The entrance to the place needs to be power washed. That is the FIRST... thing anyone sees! The handles on the doors are NASTY! Their windows haven?t been washed this year from the looks of it, and theinside entrance lacks desire. The chairs were black at one time, but mostly chipped paint now. The table wobbles, we tried twoand settled. They do have a nice napkin roll design I will give them that. Their silverware looks to be worn and from dollartree. I had a ginger salad, and although the ginger dressing was good, they over did it on my salad. I ordered filet and lobsterand I must say the filet was tender but lacked any flavor, not even salt. The lobster was good flavor but very tough skinned.The rice was awful. There was overkill sauce on the rice and it wasn?t Japanese flavored, and had no seasoning whatsoever. Ithink uncle Ben?s rice is probably better in that pouch you can nuke. The alcohol drinks barely had alcohol in them, and theglass was dirty. The portions are very good for the money, but I?d rather have flavor and a better kept and a more invitingdining area rather than tables so close. We saw one table get redressed, and there was a folded tablecloth to level the table,and then they put white butcher paper down on the table to cut down on laundry, which keeps overall costs down and I commendthem for that, but the place needs new life breathed into it and a excited cook. Once you get past how inept, unhelpful and clueless the front end staff is, the food was great. It was valentines day and while... I understand it gets busy, this is why you need a host/front end staff who can handle it and know how to communicate with thecustomers. I almost left over this but kept hearing positive things from customers who had been there before so I stayed. Theyeven said that once you get past the bad service at the front its totally worth it. The hibachi food was absolutely delicious! Sushi was a 4 out of 5. I've had better. But it wasnt bad. Our waitress (Selena) was... the best! Definitely going back. Sunday had a couple dollars off specials. But arrive exactly at 4 or there will be no seating. Read more
