Can't say enough good things about the service and food quality at the Black Dog Grill in Beaufort, SC. While entertaining on a... business trip I called ahead for a reservation and spoke with Leslie who assured a table would be ready and asked what kind ofbeer we were drinking so she could assure she had it in stock and it was ice cold upon our arrival. This quaint little bistrowas amazing. Our server, Ashley, was outstanding and the food was incredible. Highly recommend the fillet and lamb chops. Thesides were fresh and plentiful and the coconut cake was a splendid ending to a delightfull meal. Thank you Leslie and Ashleyfor a great evening and dinner. See you again for sure. Read more
My wife and I ate there and it was awesome from start to finish. Food and service were wonderful. Very small quite place. We... started off with a wedge salad and a tuna appetizer,, both wonderful. My wife had the prime rib and I had the seared scallops,both wonderful. We finished off with a chocolate cake and key lime pie that were fabulous. It was a great experience!!! Read more

Great little hidden gem tucked away in Port Royal! Food is always fresh and well prepared. Service is friendly and excellent.... One of our new favorites! Make sure you call for a reservation unless you want to sit outside though because the dining room issmall. Update: This has been one of our favorites for a while now, and has gotten even better under the new chef. Had an amazingmeal of mussels, French onion soup, seasonal salad, and prime rib with Chilean lobster tail and pasta Alfredo. Rich, yes;decadent, yes; and 100% worth it. Flourless chocolate torte and chocolate chip cheesecake for dessert, and we were ready to rollout the door. We will be rolling back next week! Read more

I was uncertain about going in because at night it looks sketchy. But, the inside is very nice, romantic, pleasant staff,... and fast. The food was perfect!! Best steak I've eaten in years. The chef was awesome!! Read more
