What a perfect location! Loved watching the boats chug by as we ate. We tried Lo's Smoked Trout Frites and they were amazing.... Highly recommend!The trout was delicious! If I could give this 6/5 stars I would. We've been a few times - mostly for our Anniversary. The menu here changes somewhat... frequently and everything is made fresh to order the right way. Solo is an upscale casual kind of dining experience with some ofthe best outdoor dining in the entire area. Our last visit we had Beef Tenderloin (with green peppercorn sauce) and Flank Steakwith Kimchi and rice. Both meals were absolutely divine. The green peppercorn sauce was particularly notable since you can'talways get it at a restaurant and when you do its packaged and has no pop. This was the opposite - I was basically licking theplate clean when all was said and done. I usually get the fresh fish on the menu since you quite literally see the docks wherethey get it from the patio. If you still aren't sold - the drinks menu is extensive with an outstanding wine collection, hugecocktail list, and some great beers available. We had a delicious perch dinner. The best we have ever tasted. Staff was very friendly and very attentive even though the... restaurant was full. We shared a desert and every spoonful was mouth watering. I would recommend Solo to anyone going to PortStanley. Read more
My husband & I celebrated our anniversary at Solo On Main. The atmosphere was lovely and our server was friendly and... knowledgeable. We shared the scallop appetizer plate which was cooked just right & we both had the rack of lamb as our main. Myhusband had his with the pomegranate glaze and I had mine with the red wine sauce. What a lovely little spot in downtown port Stanley! You will want to make reservations so you?re not disappointed! We had the... scallops to start and oh my they melted in your mouth and were so delicious. Our mains were the rack of lamb with a Demi glaze,and the kimchi teriyaki steak both were great but the lamb was mouthwatering and couldn?t get enough. The food was fresh, wellmade and plated. OMG. Must stop here. We had a great lunch and was over the moon that they had Lake Erie Yellow Perch by the piece. We just... ordered apps for our lunch and I was fully satisfied - until the fries. My husband and I had dinner here last Thursday. We sat on the veranda and enjoyed the fresh air. The staff was efficient and... pleasant. The food though?absolutely one of the best meals I?ve had.
