We should have turned around when we walked in and weren't even greeted. Seating was an absolute disaster with both hostesses... not communicating with guests. While we waited for a table to be cleared off another same size group walked in about 5 minutesafter us and was almost immediately sat while we waited without being asked seating preference. One of our drinks took anabsurdly long time. After ordering our food and waiting a normal amount of time, 3 of the 4 dishes came out. We were told the4th was made incorrectly by the kitchen staff. At this point we had been here for an hour. The dish came out and again it wasincorrect. When it came out the 3rd and final time, it was just a shell of what it should have been. The MOD came over andoffered to comp half of the dish. A dish that had to be remade twice and looked completely unappetizing and haphazardly throwntogether. This entire visit was wholly disappointing aside from our waitress who did everything she could to provide us servicedespite being cut off at the knees by her kitchen staff and manager at every turn. I believe the reason for reviews is letting the company know where they need to make improvements. I am a huge fan of Applebee's... and have visited many times and I wish I could give 5 stars. It was a Sunday evening 07/17/2022 just before 6:30 p.m. We wereseated quite awkwardly. The host asked if we wanted a table or booth. I said "booth." The host replied it would be a minute.There were empty booths and that was quickly pointed out. The host said "whoa! You want a booth? I just set someone over there."There was more muttering under the hosts breath and I couldn't understand it all. He dropped the silverware on the floor andgrabbed a clean set. Him being uncomfortable made me feel uncomfortable. Not to mention a cop was standing there in the lobbywaiting to talk to a manager about some incident. We were seated at a booth the table hadn't been wiped off. The floor hadcrumbs all over. The host left us with menus and in the meantime, we didn't see our waitress. We never saw her. We were told bysome nice employee that our waitress was helping the manager with something. A few minutes later that same employee came by ourtable and apologized for our wait and took our drink order. We were told that our waitress was talking to the cop. Such an oddexperience at Applebee's. We could see carryout orders being picked up other tables being waited on. I was hungry and at thatpoint Applebee's didn't seem the least bit interested in providing a dining experience. Maybe it was the worst day forApplebee's, the consumers don't need to know this. The employees need to know how to work in a place of business. There's alwaysroom for improvement and that only happens if you want it to Applebee's. Read more
It's Applebee's so it's pretty evident to most that the food quality is not necessarily going to be top notch. With that said,... they do a good job of making tasty meals that are budget friendly. This Applebee's is in a busy area, but the service istypically quick and the wait staff are friendly and efficient. Had a great meal and good experience overall. Read more
There were an abundance of staff there. The food was great. The exceptional part was the Waitress in training. I believe her... name was Alyssa. Her preceptor shared the same name as her. They both worked well together, but I was mostly impressed by thetrainee. She was very polite and in tuned to every each table needed. I was eating solo that day and observed her closely. Went in around 1 pm on a Sunday. Pretty quiet. Food came quick but I payed over $16 for an appetizer basket that came without... celery and missing 2 out of 4 mozzarella sticks. I asked for the celery but didn?t notice I was missing two mozzarella stickswhen asking. I felt like a bother asking for 2 mozzarella sticks because she was clearly a little flustered already so I didn?task. Prices definitely went up for me to not get a full serving of what I ordered. I had the riblet basket with fries. I hate that they either steam or boil the riblets because it just ruins the flavor. Love... the bbq sauce though. Fries were not hot and the coleslaw was good I also had the french onion soup because last time I had itat Applebee's in Holland it was great this however was mediocre at best My husband had a salad with grilled chicken and he saidit was ok. Quality is horrible. Almost everything was bad in our order. The brownie bite was completely hard and burnt. Every part of the... sampler was bad. The quesadilla was supposed to have no chicken. It did have chicken. No salsa either. The bowl for myspinach dip was over half empty. Honestly every time I order it?s messed up.
