Looking for a local burger joint while traveling when Food Street poped up. I approached from yhe tural part of town and got... worried when I saw it was in a strip mall. I shouldnt have worried. Excellect food and veru clean. Not a huge menu but a localwas ordering and said he always comes for the gyro. I asked the counter person (owner) whats best...offered 4 options. I wentwith Italian beef and was not disappointed. If i was not taking it to go i would have wanted to try the 3 meat sandwich. Not yoofar south of 94 if traveling through Kalamazoo. This place is underrated. The prices are really reasonable. The owner is very kind and friendly. The food tastes delicious. The... decor is simple but feels genuine to the Kalamazoo area. They captured the local diner feel. There are a number of reasons totry this place. Their food is definitely comfort food so make sure you drop in on your cheat day. You wont regret it! Read more
I've lived in Portage for years and always meant to check them out. My husband brought me their gyro burger for lunch one day... and I fell in love! The food is so good and you get so much for the price. Very filling. The owners (or whoever was behind thecounter) were really friendly. I'm taking family the next time! Read more
