My son and I wanted to try Indian food for the first time. I told the waiter that I didn't know what to order. He was the nicest... guy! Explained the menu and told us his recommendations. We had such an unbelievable meal! Everything was so delicious! Wishthat I knew the waiter's name. We are from Ohio and I wish this restaurant was closer! Can't believe I have missed out on Indianfood for so long! Read more

I normally don't leave reviews but the service and food were so outstanding I had to share. My family and I went to dinner here... and felt very welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. It was very obvious that it was most of our groups first time going toan Indian restaurant and they were able to explain the spice level of dishes very well and offered samples of a yummy mangodrink. One member of our group wasn't hungry and didn't order anything so they offered her a full size mango drink but firstdouble checked that she wasn't lactose intolerant. They just wanted to make sure she felt connected with everyone while wedined. The service and care that they put behind their restaurant is just amazing and we are excited to go back again. Even onour drive home we talked about how wonderful the staff and owners were. Read more

Hello readers. Being an Indian I always search for Indian cuisine wherever I go and recently I shifted to kalamazoo and found... this restaurant. If you looking for halal chicken, this is the right place. Let's step onto our dishes , believe me I have triedand tasted half of the dishes provided/included in their menu but don't have pictures of all. Gonna rate per dish according tomy visits. P.s they ask about ur spice level so mine is also medium spicy or if rate from 10 den it's 8 1) veg samosa (3.5/5)it's good and ok okish if you are a samosa fan 2) Veg hakka noodles (3.8/5) It's one of those dishes Wich I like from here. Uwill get the feeling of eating the same thing as if you are eating in india. 3) Bombay chicken biryani (4.2/5) - Hailing frommumbai I loved this as it's exactly the same which I have in my home city except for putting the egg. It's delicious and thechicken pieces are also fresh and tender, they do have great masalas to add on for this particular dish. 4) Fire masala dosa(4.5/5) - If you love too much spicy, this is suitable for you. Very spicy and awesome. This dish is only for spicy foodlovers. 5) Chole bhature (5/5) (highly recommended) - if you love this dish ,it's the best over here. Not being a chole bhaturefan but it feels like you eating in old gully of Chandni chowk from delhi 6) Dal makhani - (3.5/5) - Again one of the bestdishes from main course which you can opt for. It's really tasty and with garlic naan it's just scrumptious. 7) Hariyali chicken(4/5) - if you a white meat chicken person, this is d best then. One of d main course which I would recommend to others. 8)chicken chettinadu - (5/5) before coming here I hadn't tasted this dish and a very highly recommended one from my side. Justawesome and delicious in taste. One day I came for buffet also and all the items were grt in taste and buffet is only availableon weekends The service was prompt and the staff is friendly. Overall it's good and must visit over here. Bon appe Read more

Ordered Veg manchurian. Worst manchurian I ever had. Threw it in garbage. Kadhai Paneer doesn?t taste like kadhai paneer. Dal... fry has too much Ghee so it taste Nothing but ghee. I think this South Indian chef is cooking North Indian dishes and that?swhere things are getting messed up. Read more

Hillside has always been great, until now. This was one of the worst take out meals we have ever had. It looks half eaten... because the rest of that is still on our plates. It tastes like jarred sauces with some cream. The chicken was old and tough. This was definitely made days ago, put into separate containers, put the fridge, then ordered, and thrown in microwave. Thishurts to write since we have been patrons for 10+ years. I don?t know what happened, but please go back to what you used to be. Read more

They have one of the best food in the states. It is strange that they are in a small town and not in big city. The food is... amazing and tastes heavenly. We tried quite a number of their items. All were super good and were at its best. BonelessChicken Biriyani - perfectly cooked traditionally through dum (slow cooking through steam) Goat Biriyani - my favorite, perfectly cooked traditionally through dum (slow cooking through steam), the quality of the goat meat was extraordinarilytasty. Mixed Kabab Grill - superb and the quantity is huge Malabar Paratha - went very good with Goat Sukha Goat Sukha - myfavorite Gulab Jamun - they gave this dessert as complementary Seekh Lamb Kabob - very tasty Chicken Pepper Fry - superb Musttry the Goat menu, they use the best goat meat and their procedure of marination keeps the meat very moist and tender. They makethe biriyani traditionally through dum (slow cooking through steam), unlike other restaurants, that sell fried rice version ofbiriyani. If I get a chance, I will visit just for their food.
