I went here for an afternoon dessert of a sonic blast (medium Reese?s Cup and M&M). I am a huge fan of Sonic. My first clue I... should not have stop was the exterior condition of the store was not in best shape. Second all of the pull up spots were closedand only a few people parked. As I entered the drive thru my third sign was them being short staff. The only good from thisday was the young lady working the window was very nice and polite. My order was brought to me with in a reasonable manner andlooked great. That all changed with the first bite. The ice cream was gritty almost if had been freezer brunt. It did notstop me from wanting to enjoy my dessert so I continued to only find that the Reese?s cup and M&M s were just in the top 1? ofthe dessert. I have had these before and have seen where the candy pieces will settle to the bottom. Well not the case here,the rest was vanilla ice cream. After about eating a small amount I threw it away. This is the first time I had thrown out anyof Sonics food. This store does not reflect the overall Sonic chain and hope that the store makes some changes to compensatefor this. Read more
Unfortunately, for either staffing or Covid reasons, you cannot actually drive in, just drive thru. We got our food and just... parked off to the side. The crispy chicken sandwich was pretty good, still crunchy even with mayo and lettuce. Mixed reactionto chili cheese fries with one person thinking them too limp and salty and the other thinking they were decent but both agreedthe order size was too small to share. Burger was average, with a lot of mayo and pickles. We got the Sour Patch Kids floatto try, and though we love sour candy, the liquid portion of this was so sour it wasn't pleasant to drink on top of greasy food,even mixed with the ice cream. We, were on our way home from a day long trip from Chicago. So, our kids were getting hungry and we decided to stop here to get... something to eat. They were still open and we got their at 7:34 pm on July 23rd 2022 and they had a line but, we were waitingpatiently. But, the guy holding a orange cone said they were closed but the hours said open until 8:00 pm. The Girl manager wasvery rude and ignored our car. But, they were a line of cars. So, we left and went to another place with better customerservice. We, will never go to Sonic in Portage Mi again. We, have been to other Sonic?s and had great customer service but, notthe one in Portage MI. ???? Read more
Went to order on the patio. Pressed the order button and continued to wait for over 6 mins just to have someone come and tell us... that they were busy and only serving drive through. Mind you there were 8 people on the clock and 2 orders on their screen. Ifyou can't work more than 2 orders at a time your restaurant shouldn't even be open. There is no reason why anybody should haveto wait an hour for food, especially at a restaurant designed to bypass that. Read more
Burger tasted great! It was on very chewy toast but it was still good. I also got a mixer but it wasn't mixed. A tiny bit of... stuff was on the top and thats it. Hopefully, it was an honest mistake and that they usually put in more stuff in themregularly. It did taste good though. Read more
I actually went through the drive through. I want to give the sonic team around 4:27 pm on 6/16/22 they're props.. The was a mix... up with my order but they happily fixed the missed hap. I appreciate the honesty of the on shift new manager who in fact offeredother options of taking care of the issue with such professionalism & great costumer service. Despite forgetting to take myinformation down, for I can tell they were nervous. They definitely handled the issue very well with great customer service/professionalism an that now a days I in fact truly appreciate. So thank you sonic for a very good experience. Read more
I don't like giving these one star reviews but this time I can't give more. The only reason I'm giving one star is because at... least the Coke was good. The fries were burnt and tasted like they had been refined at least 3x, the popcorn chicken wastasteless. I know your short staffed but YOUR FOOD doesn't have to show your short staffed. I've been to places that's shortstaffed and their food doesn't show it like this did. YOU NEED TO DO BETTER. I don't recommend this place, it has went way belowtheir standards. Sorry Sonic. Read more
I've only been to this store a few times, but they've been amazing. I go shortly after they open to miss any rush, and will... typically place a large order for me and my boyfriend. They get it done within 5 minutes and always get our orders right, andare very friendly. 10/10 Read more
