The fish dinner would have been so much better had i ate it there. It sat in a togo container getting soggy...i live 3 blocks... away so when i got home, opened the box, i was disappointed.....the food tasted great, but soggy from steam in container.???????? Read more

Swinging through Portage. Heard about this excellent tavern with awesome food. Greeted friendly upon entering. Offered... seating right away even though busy. Drink orders carne to the table quickly. Menu was fantastic. I had the Philly cheesesteak. Wife had classic steak sandwich. Absolutely excellent. Solid portions. Reasonably priced! Owner and chef, Ryan,visited table to check on us. Excellent fish and a good portion in sides. They only give two corn fritters instead of four and they were good but small. ... Also, they didn't tell me there was an up charge of a $1 for the ranch potatoes that didn't taste like ranch. They weren'tvery friendly had to try to get two people's attention and they weren't busy at the time. I will definitely try the food again. Everyone has an off day right? Read more
