Question for management - Is it considered normal or even acceptable for an order to take well over 30 minutes to fill? It took... them close to 20 minutes to drop the chicken tenders for our order. Not that they were busy. Front staff were constantly messingwith their hair. Read more

Save your $$ this place has turned to trash! Been going here for years, never bad. The last two times our order was so screwed... up. Red beans & rice, they forgot the red beans?? Cajun rice, no flavor, container?s half full. $52.00 later lesson finallylearned. If you want real Popeyes drive to Valparaiso, again complete trash and that includes the employees there. Read more
Their "system" was down. Lots of product under headlamps, but their system was down. They couldn't push a button and be told... what to do next. Customers sat, product aged out. I tried several times to get them to place some chicken and beans in a boxand I would give them money. I didn't even need change! But their system was down. Apparently I had a "bad attitude" for askingthem to take my money and a tip for doing something the computer hadn't instructed them to do. Put the product in my handrather than throwing it in the trash! They really didn't like hearing about how we solved such existential problems in the olddays. I was apparently angry and shouting (I was not) for bringing this to their attention. The angry restaurant managerfinally put some some chicken and beans & rice in a box, but wouldn't take my money. She told me to leave her truckstop. Iwent into the store to buy more and hears her lying about me to the site manager. He permanently banned me, doing his bestimpression of Twitter, not caring about a fleet of 100+ trucks that fuel there. Special shame on him. He is old enough toremember what true customer service is. And hopefully wise enough to know about the high cost of Ego. My banning had nothingto do with business, or customer service, or protecting his precious snowflakes from any real harm. This was all aboutvengeance and control of others. I made the mistake of trying Popeyes at TA for the first time. Food might be good, maybe. But the gal taking the orders is... typical unmotivated uninterested person willing to achieve only the minimum of requirements for the task at hand. At least adozen people in line. Welcome to Chicago land I suppose. Read more
What a horrible disappointment, after standing at the register for 10 minutes waiting to be waited on patiently, as the girl... behind the counter preparing food looked at me repeatedly. She finally came out and said it will be 15 minutes. At least havethe common courtesy to not have somebody stand there and assume they're going to be helped as opposed to hoping they just walkaway. One of the better Popeye's located in TA travel center. The order taker was a bit more worried that I may have wanted chicken... sandwich than finishing with the customer in front of me cause they were out. Overall service quick if not cordial. Only issuewas the enormous pile of chicken and strips waiting on customers resulting in barely warm strips. Read more
