There isn't another restaurant in Portland, CT that has such a high quality, imaginative menu. The family and other servers are... extremely friendly and everything about the restaurant makes you want to return for more -- which we do once or twice a week. Read more

Wow. Just Wow. We've been going to Campagna for a while and getting apps and drinks at the bar, always really good. They have... great wings! Have stopped often as an after work treat. We had a rare day off together and wanted to do a nice dinner out. I wasreading the local River east paper and saw an ad for a five course meal for $30, and thought they accidentally reprintedsomething from the 1990's. We went early on a Tuesday, wondering what a nice five course meal could possibly be like for thatprice. We were both amazed at the fantastic quality of everything. This is a family owned place, and that's how they make youfeel. We ordered a bottle of nice California Cabernet from a respectable wine list. Worth noting, that $50 bottle is generally$65 at most other restaurants. Appetizers: Zupa di Mussels, generous portion of tender, melt in your mouth mussels in adelicious white wine broth with fresh garlic. They brought toasted bread for dipping, but the house bread worked great too! Mywife had the Stuffed Mushrooms that were awesome! We both had penne a la vodka for the pasta course, delivered piping hot withtender asparagus and sun-dried tomatoes, and absolutely delicious. We realized at this point, that we should have just optedfor the plate charge to share one meal, as we could have left satisfied then. Our server rightly suggested just taking thesalads to go, and going right to the entrees. I had Chicken Parmigiana, crisp outside, tender inside, and amazing marinarasauce. The Chicken Marsala was awesome, I had a few bites and was very impressed. We split one chocolate cake dessert, and theypacked our second dessert to go. Maybe I should review their leftover penne a la vodka, salad, chicken marsala tomorrow. (Ithink we took home more than we actually ate there!) I suspect their leftovers will be a better meal than some other meals We'vehad out lately at other places. This is no longer just a place for us to get apps at the bar. Absolutely fant Read more
