Drawn in by the ?Cocktails & Dreams? sign - the food far exceeded our expectations. We had the Gnocchi and Fried Haddock... sandwich. The house made gnocchi was perfect, melt in your mouth, light and pillowy. My husband said the fried haddock sandwichwas the best he has ever had, perfect crunch on the outside, fresh, flaky haddock on the inside, delicious!! The service wasstellar, cocktails were amazing. Fantastic place! My 9 year old daughter and I went to a concert next door and I needed to eat before the show, while waiting in... line. Hopped out of line and went to the closest place, which ended up being amazing. The owner served me and gave me a greatrecommendation on beer, and the Bearnase Burger was unique and phenomenal, along with excellent in-house made chips. Read more
I lived in Portland for years before i even knew the name of this place. Now it is a staple of my week. Not only is the food and... drink well made and decently priced but the staff is unmatched. They are kind, aware and personable no matter how packed it is.True professionals. The atmosphere is interesting at first but has grown on me. I didn?t expect to find this place; I was pulled in by the ?Cocktail?-inspired neon sign late on a Saturday night, and I found... the staff was incredibly welcoming, the setting itself is old-school and comforting, and the prices are great. This spot is so unassuming in every way. You would never expect them to have delicious food. Visiting from NYC and we have GOOD... food. We ordered the pork & potatoes, gnocchi and fish and chips and everything was so darn delicious, including the coleslawand potato salad! Everything was cooked perfectly, balanced well with the sides and great taste! Plus, customer service wasexcellent. We ordered for takeout and still highly recommend it! Read more
Delicious food, awesome waiter, vintage furniture, unique & extensive handcrafted cocktail menu and a superb dessert! Bonus: the... Dude portrait and huge mirrors in clean bathrooms. This is a great place. VERY laid back. Which, honestly, is saying something for Portland. Drinks are available and are likely a... point of pride here, but we just stopped for a quick brunch on the way to the airport. The Benedict was good with a bearnaisesauce that was about perfect. Couldn't find any salt or pepper, but the hot sauce made up for it. Excellent coffee! Read more
