If you are in Portland, you CANNOT miss this spot. We made reservations ahead of time for dinner in the corral. We loved the BBQ... boards. The cocktails are spot-on. The meats are perfectly cooked and smoky. The cornbread great. We loved their house made BBQsauce and vinegar! We loved it so much we decided to stop in Portland on our way back home for lunch to see if we could snag atable. We got lucky and loved it just as much as the first time. Read more
This was probably the best meal while visiting Maine, and yes that includes lobster. The wait was a bit long to get sat, but we... were able to visit the bar to get some drinks. The Micheleda was very good with a tajin rim. Now to the food. We got the smallBBQ and an appetizer of chips and salsa. The salsa was super flavorful and had a nice kick on the back end. When I say weordered the small BBQ, I was really worried that the portions would not be filling , but it was quite the opposite. It came withan assortment of brisket, ribs, sausage, bbq chicken, cornbread, potato salad and pickled veggies. All of the meat wasincredibly tender and juicy. It reminded me so much of Texas BBQ. Terlingua is absolutely a Portland hidden gem. Tucked away in Munjoy Hill, it is a sweet escape from the hustle and bustle of... the city to a quiet, quaint, colorful and relaxing outdoor (and indoor) dining experience. They’ve done an amazing job withproviding lots of multi-level, three-season seating options outdoors. Their staff is kind and attentive. Their food is donewell— very well. Everything we’ve had has been top notch. I cannot wait to go back for more! Stop into Terlingua if you’relooking for some great BBQ in Portland with a chill outdoor seating area! Read more
Terlingua is a great spot. Super fun vibe outside and the staff are all really nice and very fun. Make reservations early... because it can book up on the weekends. The BBQ is pretty good. The tostada salad was incredible! They also have a greatcocktail selection and over 10 beers on tap. The BBQ platter is good. The meats are all smoky. The sausage was awesome, wish wehad gotten more of that. It’s a fun spot in Portland. Definitely worth the visit as you are exploring all the new/fun spotsthrough the city. Prices are reasonable. This was a my first restaurant experience after I landed in Portland, ME, and it was an amazing one. While it isn't authentic... Latino food and definitely more artisan/fusion, nonetheless it was a delightful meal and served really quickly. The bbq portionof the taco i had really gave it a wonderful savory flavor and it complemented well with the Moscow Mule and chips & queso I hadit with. This was a delightful dinner and if I'm ever in Portland again, I will definitely stop by again! Read more
