The... space is quaint and homey.l The chicken Parmesan maybe the best park in Maine. The cocktail list, soooo good and always fun andinvigorating... Megan was friendly, helpful and attentive. Sat at the bar. Great ambiance and perfect dat spot. Wish I'd got there in time for happy hour though. The bread that comes out... complimentary was sooooo good! My drink was excellent. I got the beet salad and arrabiata pasta. It was exactly what I wascraving. Delicious! I didn't take pics of those, that's how good they were. I just wanted to enjoy it. Read more

I have to say thank you to the staff that closed two Saturdays ago. My husband and I were going on a belated honeymoon to... Portland and we found this spot to eat. It looked so nice, and I love Italian food. It was going to be closed the rest of ourtime in town, so we booked a reservation for the night we arrived in Portland. Our flight was delayed and it was going to pushus dangerously close to closing time. When I called ahead to notify them -- they were more than happy to work with us. Weordered the PIZZA MARGHERITA and TRUFFLE MAC & CHEESE. They got it out in no time and it was phenomenal! Instead of turning usaway (for missing our reservation by most standards) they gave us a fantastic meal and a wonderful memory. We are so gratefulfor their kindness that night! P.S. Food was delicious, service was terrible. The bartender was very friendly, however. We came with a group of 5 for my sister’s... birthday. Our server had a bad attitude from the start and when we asked to put in our appetizers she said we had to order allof our food at once. We declined and she was not happy about it. Food was very delicious but it’s hard to enjoy when you donot feel welcome or wanted in the restaurant. Even while bringing our boxes, she brought one less than needed, and somehowblamed it on our group. Not sure if I’ll return, at this price point I’d rather go somewhere else with a better environment. Read more

My wife and I ate here during dinner for our one night trip to Portland. The bread was incredible. The pasta dishes were... incredible. The dessert was incredible. Our waitress was top notch and cleared up some confusion we had on the menu. Small placeand every table was full by 7pm (we had a 6pm reservation). Some people were turned away because they didn't have a reservation(Thursday night), so make sure you make a reservation ahead of time. We will be back. Read more

My two bridesmaids took me here last night during my bachelorette weekend. We had 5:15 reservations as we had an appointment at... 6:45 elsewhere. We ordered our drinks, appetizer, and entrees all together, right off the bat. It took over an hour for our foodto come out, meanwhile 2 separate groups of 4 that were seated well after us, received their food. Our waitress said it would be5 more minutes, then she apologized to us because they only had one chef, then she told us to save room for desert because itwould be on the house for having to wait. Unfortunately we didn’t have time for desert. We didn’t even have time to eat anyof our entrees. We immediately had them boxed up to eat later in the evening after our appointment. Our waitress merely took offthe appetizer as a courtesy. Just didn’t feel like enough. On a separate note, the older waitress that was working the tablesaround us was not very pleasant, as she did not exchange courtesies when one of my girls apologized for being in her way, andwhen we thanked her for dropping off appetizer plates to our table. Sat at the bar and started with a hot spicy toddy to warm us up as it was snowing. I was wanting a specific Italian dish and... the chef was able to prepare it perfectly! The service and food was amazing and we left with big smiles on our faces! Highlyrecommend! Read more

Probably the most perfect dinner I've had in a long time. From the quiet ambience, to the superb service, from the heady scent... of garlic to the soundtrack playing in the background, The Corner Room delivered. Wonderful, hearty Italian fare. Thebruschetta appetizer was the best I've ever eaten. Thick crusty grilled bread was the perfect chew beneath tomato, freshmozzarella and fresh basil with a drizzle of balsamic and olive oil. The foccaccia came warm from the oven with olive oil, saltand herbs for dipping. For my main course I choose papparadelle with mushrooms and truffle cream sauce. Expertly prepared andgarnished with fresh grated Parmesan. A Paloma fizz accompanied my meal. The portions were hardy, bit I couldn't resist orderingcannoli for dessert ( although I did get one of the two to go!). The plating was phenomenal - in keeping with the deliciousricotta chocolate chip filling and crisp shell. Even the decaf coffee was good. Served with cream and sugar. Five stars allaround !!!!
