Love these donuts! The potato adds a little something something that you don't find in traditional cake doughnuts. Go try... them...you won't be disappointed! But get in early for the best offerings. And my hubby says the coffee is good & strong...so goget your fill! Read more

This donut shop is different from your traditional donut shop as they make their donut out of potato flour. The donut ???? were... different tasting and it is one of those things where you have to try it for yourself to see. The staff are very nice andfriendly. Stop by and see for yourself. Read more

Delicious!!! Definitely a must when visiting Maine. Love their coffee donuts. Unfortunately I didn't get to this place until... almost their closing time, many flavors were sold out. However, since it was almost their closing time, they did give away theirdonuts instead of throwing them away. I originally bought 2 and received 2 additions for free. Read more

Fun spot to drop in and get a donut and coffee. There's generally a line, but it moves very fast. A couple of tables are... available inside for dining in. Lots of options to try for different donut flavors. I tried a blueberry lemon donut,original/plain donut, and chocolate sea salt donut. All of the flavors were great - my favorite was the chocolate sea salt. Goodto try the plain one for a baseline of what a potato donut tastes like before diving into a flavored version. I wish they weregood next day, I don't think they would've traveled well/held up for a couple days. They are an eat-right-now kind of food. Read more

Visiting Portland for a couple of days, we figured going to The Holy Donut was a must. Arrived at the store on Commercial... Avenue about 10am and there wasn't much of a wait. Everything looked delicious. We ordered one vanilla, one chocolate seasalt, and one maple. Mind you that each donut cost $3.50! We had gone through half of each donut when we saw a long hair bakedinto the chocolate sea salt donut. So turned off that we couldn't even look at the rest let alone take another bite. Decidedto go back to the store but the GPS took us to the Park Avenue store. Jacob the manager took back the bag of the 3 half donutsand tossed them in the trash and said he would call the other store manager and get him to issue refund to the creditcard. Three days later and the charge on the credit card was reduced by the price of one donut! Not only inconsistent withwhat Jacob told me but also very cheap and not customer- friendly. I'm not going to get into a fight for $8 and am not going topost any photos of the donuts. But The Holy Donut better get their act together and have their bakers wear hairnets otherwisethis won't be the last time. Read more

These were highly recommended by several people and apparently potato donuts are a thing! Before leaving the area, we decided to... stop in and grab some of these famous donuts. We had a Blueberry Glaze, a Lemon Glaze, a Toasted Coconut and a Triple Berry HolyCannoli. These are ?cake like? donuts, that are more dense than normal ones. They were not overly dry or overly moist and theywere actually quite delicious. These are definitely a must try, if in the area. Read more

Excellent service. Great employees.this a SUPER high 4 rating, 4.886 out of 5. I'm giving it 5 just because the overall... experience was great. The donuts are definitely delicious. Maybe I had my expectations faaaar too high. While the glazes on thedonuts are excellent, the donuts itself had a very 'cake' texture to them. We ordered 4 different donuts, all of them tastedgreat but the texture was close to a cake texture. I would still HIGHLY recommend this spot if you're a donut enthusiast. If youlove donuts, you won't be disappointed. You will have to pay for parking to get here. Seating is very limited. It is pretty busyduring lunch hours so do not expect to get seating inside as well. Overall, an excellent donut shop. Read more
