Great pizza, but it took a long-gggg, long time and as you can see from photos, there weren't many people there. They do have... good beer, (no non-alcoholic beers, which is strange) and an ok selection otherwise. They have a few board games, but webrought out own. All-in-all a chill place. The pizza in the photo is their veggie pizza with the red peppers on the side. Itcost a whopping $36! 8 slices I think. Pizza is thick and rectangular. It was an expensive (for pizza) evening, but what isn'texpensive these days? Read more

Really good Detroit style pizza, great bar atmosphere. I could see myself coming here for drinks, meeting friends, or just... swinging by for the pie! A large Detroit style pizza was expensive but the toppings they used were fresh, truly high qualityingredients and worth trying for yourself. Read more

05/01/2022: 3.5 out 5 - We came as a party of 9 for a family member's birthday request, as he wanted to try out the pizza at... Assembly Brewing, which serves Detroit-style pizzas. If you're not sure what Detroit-style pizza is, it is basically pizzaswith 90 degree angles, with 4 corners, or just simply rectangular and thick crust using Wisconsin Brick cheese, and the sauce ison top. I'm sure there's more to it, but that's just what I know. We had order 5 kinds of pizzas. If memory serves mecorrectly, we had ordered Assembly's Meat Lovers, Popeye, Hawaiian, Supreme, and the Veggie Gourmet along with the bread sticks,Artichoke & Spinach Roll and Artichoke Dip as appetizers along with some beers. Pizza toppings seemed scarce, but theappetizers were tasty. Seemed to go quite well with my choice of beer. Regardless, the order took longer than expected, andservice was so-so. We were told that we had come in just after Portland's Pizza Week, making supplies a little short andservice, well I suppose, a little exhausted...maybe scarce...or just didn't care enough to provide better service to ourgroup. For this day, with the food and service, and what we paid for... let's just say there's room for improvement and betterattitude. The thing that does stand out the most for me would be Assembly's Doublin' in Dublin Stout. True to description as,"...less roasted coffee and more chocolate notes." Absolutely in agreement. So, the question remains that I always ask thosethat I am eating with, "Would you come back?" Most said "No." But, for me I'd give it another try to have that Doublin' inDublin Stout, but I will wait when there's less of a supply issue and less of service issue. Like I always say, you shouldalways try it once and decide for yourself. Enjoy! Read more

Have heard about the place for awhile but it's a trek for me so I never made it out until pizza week drew me. The hype is real.... Pizza is top notch Detroit style. Probably the best in town, but when you are this good it the specific accolades don't matter. They are not designed for the high volume of pizza week but the staff handled it with aplomb. Beer was mediocre to good-ish.Definitely good enough to guzzle while you wait. Wide range of styles, would definitely try a few more. Read more

Update: best pizza in Portland and best beer in Portland. There?s a ton of new pizza joints but this is not only the best, they... are producing the best beer as well. I know that?s a big claim, but honestly it?s true. Get the ?D? with smoky Canadian bacongr. pepper and onions on top, pepperoni under the cheese. Totally get the artichoke Parmesan rolls. I would come here for therolls if that?s all they had. Detroit style with sauce on top means the crust and cheese are caramelized and crispy on theedges. The sauce is amazing. Super light and fresh tasting. Shout out to the fabulous servers. You know who you are! <3 Read more

Stopped by for the Detroit style pizza with non-dairy cheese, which was delicious and authentic. Tried a beer flight that was... good. Solid option for food and drink with an outdoor dog-friendly patio. Read more
