Great spot. Lots of regulars, lots of friendly dogs, and the taplist is constantly rotating in new and noteworthy beers. All of... the negative reviews are from folks who show up drunk from Rev Hall or Enso and act like asshats (which happens somewhat often, sadly). I\'m pretty awkward socially and like having a place to read and have conversations with people I feel comfortable withand I\'ve never felt slighted by the staff in that regard. Also did I mention there are DOGS around?? Read more

Absolutely atrocious service. The bar itself was AWESOME! Great location, great atmosphere. The issue is with the service. I... asked for a beer and they made fun of my selection, making jokes that the beer wasn\'t the right one. Despite this I went on toreally enjoy the bar, loving the decor. Upon leaving I asked if any of the decorations were for sale. Upon hearing this, the bartender absolutely roasted me for asking about buying some of the decorations. \"That\'s pretty freaking weird that you wanna buysome of the decorations. Who asks that?\" Idk but I came from a place where that was a very valid question. After that I waslike \"okay what\'s wrong with that? Why tf are you roasting me\" to which the bar tender responded with kicking me and all myfriends out. He proceeded to chase me and my friends down the block while saying we were never allowed back. I didn\'t realizethat asking if I could give them more money by buying some of their decorations was offensive. But it was! Read more

Great beer selection, but most of them were basic, nothing awesome on the list

Left a comedy show at Revolution Hall intending on having a bit of food and a few cocktails only to find an excessively rude bar... tender. Left our full drinks and a cash tip after over hearing enough bad mouthing of our group. Read more

Ashley Kaye sounds like a horrible person to serve. The reason why anyone is still working is because service they are... desperate. You should be thanking them + tipping as much as possible for just showing up.\n\nAnyway, Beer was my go-to spotbefore and during and after my shifts taking tickets at Revolution Hall. Great selection of drafts and cans, beautiful wood barand tables, great sandwiches next door.\n\nI?ve never seen anything in the way of a manager or owner in the shop. One personcould run this whole bar with love, but ownership would rather underpay someone else and still bring in a profit. Must be nice! Read more

Beautiful neighborhood spot with wonderful natural light, cool plants, awesome tap list, and some pretty dope cocktail specials.... Also, the bartenders that served me (I think I was in at crossover) were so nice, and fun as hell. Would highly recommend thisspot if you?re in SE Portland. The music selection was chefs kiss. One star, should be zero stars due to the worlds worst bartender: Andrew ? the long haired arrogant and rude... bartender.\n\nManagement should replace this boy with someone who knows how to bartend and work in customer service.\n\n10/10would never go here again.\n\nHe was incredibly rude to everyone.\n\nYelled out last call TWO HOURS before their very clearlyposted hours. Ten minutes after his last call he refused to serve anyone inside or new people walking in the door. There wereabout 10 people actively spending money and four of our friends arrived ? he refused to give serve them. Told them he?s closingand they should leave.\n\nThis boy is giving Beer an AWFULLY BAD reputation and costing the owners money.\n\nAll of our Portlandfriends were like cool, we are never coming here.
