This is the THE BEST north Indian food place in the greater Portland area...and I've tried many. Their name is no lie!! I... worked for an Indian food company on the east coast for two years so I was thrilled to find this place. I suggest gettingseveral dishes and sharing them family style!! The Malai Kofta is my favorite here...but everything else I've had is excellenttoo. Read more

horrible customer service. I ordered shrimp curry and told the lady I was allergic to rice and asked if I could have mixed... veggies under instead of rice. she charged me $4 extra for veggies instead of rice. which I get veggies are more expensive. when I got my food there was curry shrimp and carrots... I paid $4 EXTRA for a hand full of carrots to be added! when I wentback to ask why I didn't get mixed veggies. she said "you said extra veggie I gave you a veggie.. plus for a now $19 meal therewas 8 shrimp... Th they were going to stay closed i was so sad then she made it right, by cooking up myorder and giving it to me free of charge I think this was a one off bad day or something but they fixed it all up for me. Thankyou so much. Love this place Read more

Chicken Tikka Masala was super light in color, too heavy on the cream. The naan was really stretchy/chewy (overworked dough?).... The papadam were good though much lighter in color than I have seen before. The rice was good, though I got an under cookedgrain in one bite. My boyfriend liked the Chili Chicken, he said it was "pretty good". Read more

Absolutely phenomenal. Great spices, fantastic balance. We got plain naan and lamb josh, which go great together and are super... flavorful without being too rich, aloo tikki which was hot and savory and thank god not too salty, gulab jamun that wasn?t drownin syrup, and peshawari naan that disappeared before we even made it home it was so good. Cannot rave enough. The Chai was alsonot too sweet, like most coffee shops do, and really packed a punch. I know I?ve said it a lot but I?m going to say it again:phenomenal flavor, well worth the trip. Read more

I wanted to to explore the Cartlandia Food Pod on SE 82nd near Johnson Creek. I selected the Best of India for the wide ranging... menu. I ordered the Lamb Curry, Plain Naan Bread, and a Mango Lassi to drink. It took the Naan Bread fifteen minutes to bakeand then another twenty minutes for the Lamb Curry. The Mango Lasso was disappointing as it was thin and watery. The LambCurry was served with Basmati Rice and was a large amount of food. The lamb was mildy spiced and was not overcooked. The foodwas average and the drink was disappointing. It would be interesting to try the other menu items to see if there are betterthen average. Parking is available in the food pod lot. Read more

Their veggie korma is deluxe. A perfect balance of creaminess that's not too thick. It's served on fluffy jamine white rice with... peas, cauliflower, carrots, and potatoes - topped with cashew halves and rainsins. Pair it with a mango lassi, veggie samosas, and some naan - you're gold. Portions are larger so you'll have leftovers. Awesome customer service as always. Best korma nearMontavilla for sure. Read more
