10/10 experience dinning at Can Font, the service and the food were amazing!! Paella was one of the best I’ve ever had in the... west coast! Pastata Bravas with steak bites is my favorite starter, the potatoes were crispy on the outside, and super softinside, and the steak bites is a must to add on to the dish!!!! You will not regret!! Interior is a bit warm on a hot day but the food is quite good if you're looking for tapas/paella. Tried the PULPO A LA... PLANCHA which seared octopus. Very tender. Not a huge dish. Paella dishes are good for sharing and trying a few varieties.PAELLA DE MARISCOS was my fav and filled with seafood. Excellent paella and tapas! Definitely dine inside, however as outdoor seating is just on the sidewalk next to the road - not... at all atmospheric, even with the park across the road! We had a party of 6 and order bombas (fluffy potato balls stuffed withsavory ground beef on a rich tomato sauce), shishito peppers - perfectly seasoned and roasted, pan con tomate, melones ychicharrones- the melon was so sweet and flavorful and the chicharrones light and tasty, paella negra (seafood and squid ink)and paella con pollo y chorizo - both were fabulous & we took some home. We shared desserts - even though we were all full! Flan - creamy & light, BIZCOCHO DE CHOCOLATE - flourless chocolate cake - rich, tarta de queso- cheesecake, and pudín de piñacolada - my favorite - tapioca with pineapple marmalade and coconut milk. Service was excellent despite our indecision. Theyalso had some Interesting sparkling teas as well as cocktails. I could have ordered everything on the menu. Will have to go backand try more! one of the best places in Portland for vegetarians, vegans and omnivores to be able to eat together and have a great meal! we... got reservations for 6:00 and it was a slower evening but quickly filled up by 7:00. Large selection of tapas and larger meals.Everything is completely delicious. We got the potatoes from the tapas menu and my boyfriend loved the pepper sauce they servedwith it (we had a non-dairy substitute for the garlic aioli). His meat was cooked perfectly and my vegan dishes were equallythoughtfully prepared. Fun non-alcoholic drinks as well. The Piña Colada dessert was SO good also. can't wait to come back! Read more

It was a nice vegan Spanish restaurant experience. Service was outstanding. Our patatas bravas were a bit salty and the vegan... paella could have had some additional vegan meats for added variety other than just the sausage. But, overall, we enjoyed ourmeal and the whole experience. I would recommend it. Read more

I made same-day reservations and our table was still occupied when we arrived, so they gave us a very nice table by the window.... The interior of the restaurant is modern, but still intimate and it was pretty packed around 7 on a Thursday. It mostly clearedout by the time we finished our meal around 8:30. Everything we ordered was delicious—from appetizers to dessert—but Ithink the paella con salmon, flan and tarta de queso deserve special mention as does the service. Our waiter was awesome. A chic and soothing ambience with an adequate vegetarian options in modern Spanish cuisine! Their service was quick and... responsive. The vegan paella was less flavourful than I am used to, but, the presentation of food and the quality of ingredientsmade for a joyous dinner experience. There was plenty of street parking available.
