The remodel will be fantastic I just know. This the best kept secret. The best food. I cannot wait to be back in there.

Caro Amico's is one of the best old-fashioned family Italian restaurants around. Their food and service are consistently... outstanding. Read more

This is on Barbur easy to get to if you are heading downtown from the SW burbs. 20 something prices and the food is yummy. Great... wine and cocktail choices. The Sicilian wine they had for house was yummy. Very kind, knowledgeable and seasoned staff on board~ exceptional all the way round. Nice room for office, party, large group get togethers upstairs. Not one for reviews but this charming family owned restaurant in a converted Victorian? house (that has a little footprint and... lotsa stairs, because it's built on a steep hill and has a landing and two stories) has great classic Italian fare. Everythingis fresh so it's not a problem for them to switch the pasta in one menu item with the your favorite sauce from another. Mychoice was wild mushroom ravioli with Alfredo sauce with sun dried tomatoes and spinach. It was delicious! Could not have beenbetter. It was prepared and served quickly (not so much when it's busy) The red wine the waitress suggested was perfect. Thebread is crusty and warm and also delicious. It was quiet in there tonight which I like. Lovely experience. Thank you! Read more

Food was okay but a bit expensive decor is rather cheap if you actually look at it and the server was also the bartender so... getting the bill or ordering was inconvenient, food is ravioli with a vodka sauce Read more

Very nice place! The service was fast and friendly. The signature cocktails were certainly unique, and very delicious. I... recommend the Cafe Tonic. The portion sizes were well worth the price. I took home half my dinner not be able I can controlmyself, but because I got too full to keep eating! We still got Tiramisu for dessert, and it was creamy and perfect. They havepaper on the tables, and crayons, in case you bring kids (or want to unleash your inner child!). They also come in handy formarking who's to go box is who's. Read more

First time visit. Its a nice place. More American than Italian but a very nice building. Good place to go with a group of... people. Here is the thing you need to know. The prices would indicate your food would be made from top notch ingredients butyou would be wrong. Everything we had tasted good but you can tell. Had I paid 15 bucks for a main, it would be fair. At 25,you expect more fresh and less salt. Try DeNicola's Powell. Not as nice a room but better food. Read more

We “stumbled” onto this by accident. Had a friend having brain surgery at the hospital. Needed to eat. Luckily this place... was at the bottom of the hill below the hospital. Excellent meal. Only had wine, the free bread, a chopped salad and lasagna soI did not sample much of their menu, but everything I had was excellent. Best bread that I have had for years actually. I lovecrusty bread. Incredibly fresh lettuce and superb lasagna. I love sauce made with sausage and real tomatoes. The wine wasrecommended by my waiter. Very smooth Italian wine. I skipped desert, but I am sure that it would have been comparable. Even hasa very nice patio if you want to eat alfresco. A trues gem in Portland. Read more
