Been going here for years. The food is always great, the staff are awesome and it's great for watching sports.

40 min for a grilled turkey sandwich of which never came out. Watched all others food come out. Finally asked and got the usual... excuse the cook was alone and just back in town. Didn't seem to affect others getting service. Why couldn't she just admit sheforgot to put it in. Offer a drink. Do something then just walk away and keep bringing food out to other people. The Clubhouse is a very nice neighborhood place to eat and drink. I don't think it's possible to be uncomfortable here. Think of... "...a place where everyone knows your name" ala Cheers. I forgot to take pictures. Read more

I love the clubhouse! The staff is friendly and on top of it, the drinks are delicious and the food is amazing. I like to... hangout on the patio in the summer and watch my favorite sports teams in the fall. I always feel at home here. Wish I didn?t have to write this review as i really wanted to like this place. I was looking forward to a great night out with... my friends and cousin I hadn?t seen in a long time. We were the only people of color in the bar and when we requested karaokesongs, they were skipped. When we finally spoke up and asked why, the staff got upset and kicked us out. I have neverexperienced such poor service in Portland and I am still in disbelief as I write this. Maybe people were having a bad night andit isn?t a common occurrence, but this behavior needs to be addressed. Will not be going back. Read more

This is the kind of place I really like (and if you've read any of my reviews you know I have distinctive tastes.) I like places... that feel authentic, maybe a bit seedy, and "old school". A friend of mine has brought me here for breakfast a few times, and Ilike it for the same reason I like the Nite Hawk in Portland. The Clubhouse's primary raison d'etre is booze, and nothing getsin the way of that -- not even at 9 am on a Sunday. That said, they still sling a fine breakfast combo and/or omelette, and theykeep the coffee coming. And there's ample parking, and the price is right. Read more
