Tried hard to like this place. Nice ambiance, service was good. But unfortunately food was a total miss. Ordered skewers and... Generals Chicken. Both were flavorless. Esp the General's Chicken....fried chicken with bunch of red chillies dripping in oilwithout any flavor. Read more

Enjoyed lunch here, nice location and menu. Spicy dumplings were rich and flavorful. Spoke with a regular who said the wonton... soup was amazing. Authentic and fresh, will be back! Read more

Such a great spot. Great food, good value, an excellent addition to the Portland food scene. The corn is a must, as are the... peanuts, and the spicy chicken. Read more

Unbelievably greasy. It stained our car seats w red oil on the ride home! Every container is soaked in grease. It was hard to... eat because of the grease. And now we have a stained car seat! Very disappointed and will not go back. Read more

My last restaurant review was about a place where I encountered someone sincere and kind. And here is another one. The guy at... the register (and another guy in & out of the dining area and food prep areas) was refreshingly kind. His eye contact, smile, and voice were friendly, courteous, and welcoming. Since we have our fair share of neutral or negative encounters, the positiveinteractions and people we met here really stand out. The ambiance is great: part reclaimed wood and part industrial. Hugewindows let in abundant light, which was especially nice on a warm spring day. And they opened the windows to bring in fresh airand a gentle breeze. We tried pizza week pizza which was a fusion of pork brisket, tomato sauce, cheddar cheese on a loft"focaccia" that reminded us of bao dough. We would have liked even more bold asian flavors on the pizza instead of tomato sauce& cheddar, but it was fun to try. The egg rolls tasted surprisingly fresh (not frozen...if they are frozen, then they fooled us)and had the full flavor of the chopped veggies inside. The lamb skewers were tender and well-seasoned. We liked the stainlesssteel plates too. It was quite enjoyable overall, and we'd come back just for the truly nice people. They made our day! Read more

I came for happy hour and I had my doubts because I?ve had some pretty bad Chinese food since coming to Portland, but enjoyed... the flavours very much. The fries were seasoned in a way reminiscent of street potatoes in Xian. The chicken wings were crispand lip smacking garlic. I thought the lamb skewers needed a little help with the seasoning but they were not bad overall.Unlike most places I?ve visited in Portland, they used the right amount of salt. Portions were generous. Read more

Definitely one of my favorite dining experiences in Portland. Our friend brought us here, and they told us they found out about... the place through yet another recommendation about a particular dish - the Scheczuan Chicken. I love spicy food, but this oneends the chili wars. This dish takes pride in the chillies that came all the way from the province of Scheczuan in China, soyou can actually taste the authenticity. It's dry, flavorful, somewhat flavorful and spicy, BUT IT'S JUST THE EXPERIENCE THATGIVES YOU LIFE. No kidding. Aaaah I'm craving for it as I write this review! The place is also cozy and chic, giving you thatoriental and modern culinary experience. Staff were also friendly, warm, and provided topnotch customer service. Read more
