One of the nicest restaurants in Portland. Cocktails are fabulous, foods are so fresh and good. I was very impressed by the chef... calling out orders and ALL of the dishes come back to him, he checks them cleans all dishes, only after his inspection disheswere delivered. As a matter of fact, one of my orders, skewered scallops were on the same plate, and I thought yack! (In mymind) because it was on the same plate with skewered pork. (I could see all of this as my table was close to him. ) Sure enough,he sent it back and yes, my scallops were on the separate plate. I was very happy to see this much detail is going to each andevery dishes they serve. I will be coming back to G-Love many many more times. Read more
G-Love has a palpable, flashy, trendy, and modern atmosphere. It’s located at one of my favorite locations in all of Portland,... it surrounds itself with tons of other lively and interesting eating options. However, the food was not very interesting andmost of their dishes tasted mediocre. We got their crunch master salad, which was quite bland, and very earthy. It lacked anybrightness in it flavors. We also tried their fried chicken, it was mediocre, dry and wasn’t anything we’d want to payheavily to get. We also got their steak bavette, it was bland, but cooked well. We tried their pasta which I would say was ourbest dish, but honestly there are better options nearby for pasta. The service was pretty good and the waitress was quiteattentive. Read more
First time visit for me and was blown away. Dubbed "A reverse steakhouse", it piqued interest and 'discovered how amazing it is.... The restaurant vibe, the efficient & excellent staff, the location and last but definitely not least... the taste, ABSOLUTELYPHENOMENAL. I don't have a favorite, I loved all of the dishes I ordered. G-love did not disappoint! We did not have a reservation but we were able to sit up at the bar. Great to see the bartenders make... all the cool drinks. We had the roasted cauliflower, focaccia di formation, crunch master crisp and the charred bavette steak.All delicious! The cauliflower and crunchmaster crisp where my favorite. Both had so many different flavors in each bite. Tofinish off dinner we tried the boozy pops. Very flavourful and nice on a hot day! Would recommend this place! Make it a specialoccasion or just a night out. It has a great vibe and delicious food! Read more
Stopped by for dinner and drinks at 430pm. Was sat almost immediately. Service was wonderful and thoughtful. Still my most... favorite place in all of Portland. Maybe all for the PNW. This place deserves Michelin stars. The flavors are unique andcomplex. You think you just got a salad? No. Many times I’ve had the pleasure of seeing my friends’ minds get blown by thefood. It was our 21st wedding anniversary dinner. The restaurant provided us with the experience we hoped for on our special day! Chef... We live nearby, so we have to exercise self-control! The food is wonderful and flavorful, the drinks are fun, and the service... has consistently been friendly and pleasant. It’s a great for date night :) p.s….PLEASE make the mini donuts a permanentdesert on the menu ;) Read more
Oh man! G-Love hit the spot. Went on a date with my main squeeze and everything we ordered was amazing. Our waitress suggested... three items per person which was just on the right side of full. We both ordered cocktails which were also perfect in every way.The outdoor seating was lovely. Overall a fantastic date night. Read more
