I went in tonight around 7:30pm and I was dining by myself. The host sat me but no one came to the table ever to take my drink... order and I waited like 20mins. I finally had to go up to the register from my table to order there. I was debating getting itto go because I seemed like an invisible guest. The food came out but then no one came to check on me once and I didn?t have anywater and no one asked if I needed anything. Again I had to get up from my table to go pay my bill as if it were counterservice. It wasn?t busy and all of the other tables were getting service I don?t know why this happened. Read more

The wait staff was wonderful. The food was delicious. We didn't have to wait for a table. We elected to sit outside because the... weather was good. Did not feel like we were separated from the restaurant, felt like we were an extension. Read more

My friend and I had the best dinner at La Buca last Friday - their outdoor seating area is super cute & comfy, the food was... delicious (seafood pappardelle special, chicken marsala and the special salad with beets & goat cheese), and the cocktails wereamazing! The service was friendly and efficient - already looking forward to returning to this family-owned neighborhood gem! Thanks for a lovely evening - see you soon! Read more

Cute little Italian places. Had an absolutely delicious soup, a fresh salad and a simple pasta that hit the spot! I will return.

Portland, OR has a vibrant dining scene and is represented well by La Buca Italian Cafe, despite just arriving in town and not... having made reservations in advance, they were able to seat us immediately, choose outdoor seating to enjoy the weather, had adelicious bruschetta for an appetizer, a variety of pasta dishes for the main meal and skipped dessert, our server Corrin wasoutstanding in service and attention, their specialty drinks were yummy and the overall experience top notch, Covid protocolsrequires you to wait to be seated, indoor dining is limited but more freedom exists with outside dining, located on the cornerof 28 Ave and Couch St., this is an easy place to find and a joy to indulge. 5 stars for great food, great service and fairprices, this should be a regular if you are a local, and a must visit if coming from out of town. Highly recommended! Read more
