Worst McMenamins experience ever! (and i'm die hard mcmenamins fan) About a week ago my kids and I were told it would be a 45... min wait for food and I was fine with that, but after 30 min with no water or menus I decided to leave. I've tried McMenamins all over Oregon and this one was pretty similar to the rest. I think the best one is in Bend but the food... and drinks at all of them is pretty consistent. We chose this place on a Saturday night because it was within walking distanceand we had a group of around 10 people. We wanted warm food after drinking beer at the Ale Fest all day and of course, morebeer. Our server was patient and really friendly while we all decided on what we wanted. One thing was for sure, we got twolarge orders of tots for the table! We asked for extra ranch because obviously you need to dip each one into ranch for the fullflavor explosion to happen in your mouth. They always get their tots so crispy and not greasy which I love. We also got someScooby snacks (mini corndogs). I don't usually eat hot dogs but they hit the spot after a day of drinking. A few bumps along theway consisted of a few people not receiving their drinks, ranch not being brought until the tots were gone and a few itemsrunning out after ordering. I had the crispy chicken wrap with honey mustard and could only eat half because it was a generousportion. I really liked the wrap but wish there had been more chicken inside. My order was messed up so I received tots insteadof my salad but the salad was quick to come up after I asked the waitress about it. We all enjoyed our food and hung out for abit, admiring the Grateful Dead themed decor around us. They have a few pinball machines in the back and outdoor heaters if youwant to sit outside. If you're looking for a decently priced and filling meal with a warm and cozy atmosphere then McMenamins isyour place. Read more
