The hotel room was small, which is understandable considering it?s in downtown, but there are no in room bathrooms which I... thought was interesting for a ?three star? hotel. Sharing a bathroom with 40 other people on your floor isn?t pleasant.Especially not for $175 a night. This seemed more like a $60 a night hostel experience. However the hotel staff was kind andattentive. Also there is a pool and restaurant but very limited parking. Read more

Hi I'm Aria! I'm a non-binary autistic person who loves to travel. If you're transgender, Portland is a great place to visit. No... matter where I went I was treated just like anyone else or occasionally complemented on my outfit and array of queer andneurodivergent positive buttons. That being said, I found the Crystal Hotel to be one of the most positive traveling experiencesI've had. I wanted to treat myself so I got an upper floor room (214) - the lighting was pleasantly dim and the murals on thewall whimsical and thought provoking. It was very quiet and I was able to sleep through the night undisturbed, while the staffwas genuinely friendly and helpful. There's no TV in the room, but that was a positive for me since I always use my laptop formedia anyway, and without it the room looks like it could be from the 1920s. Oh, and did I mention it's only two blocks awayfrom Powell's Books?! The restaurant (Cafe Zeus) was fantastic too (Dim lights! No screens! Good food! Quiet! Soft classicalmusic only!). I plan to stay here again on my next trip to Portland - do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a stay here aswell! Read more

Don't forget to use Ho????o???.??m when booking your stay. This site will compare thousands of hotel sites and usually will have... rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been staying here fora very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't be disappointed. It?s so quirky, clean, and the staff isabsolutely amazing . They?re all so sweet and knowledgeable of the area. The quirky rooms are such a trippy little experience, and the pool is the best part of it. Warm, salty, relaxing. Definitely coming back next time I?m in Portland:) Read more

I adore this hotel. The location is perfect and the staff are the best! We had an issue with the smell of our room and due to my... allergies they quickly and happily set up another room for us. They also accommodated early check in which was so stellar ofthem. The themed rooms are cool too, and the shared bathroom was immaculate. Read more

Room was clean. Staff was pleasant. It was a little more expensive than I would've liked. There was no TV but free wifi for my... tablet. The biggest draw back was the bathroom situation. They were shared bathrooms. They were very clean, there were four ofthem on each floor and you don't have to use the bathroom at the same time as someone else. It's one toilet and one stand upshower but it's just like a bathroom in a house. Made for one person at a time. Read more

Lots of character, small rooms and shared bathrooms though. The location was pretty good lots of places to walk to. The staff... was kind enough to help us find parking and the guy who was working the evening we arrived was really helpful. Now the not sogreat? in the morning we were getting ready to check out and I discovered a capsule just under the foot of the bed, the capsulecontained a off white powered. This is concerning because clearly the cleaning was not the greatest that this was missed, secondly when I brought it to the attention of the front desk the guy did really seem to care. So all in all night shift guy wasgreat, morning guy not so good, cleaning not great either. Kind of disappointing way to end the stay Read more

Absolutely fun experience for a creative being like myself! We got the Werewolf room and the quote around the room though... dizzying to follow is the greatest thing I have seen. The art in the room and halls (and I am sure the other rooms as well)gives me a through the looking glass feel. The bed is comfortable and clean and the staff/personell are helpful and friendly. When we got to our room, there was a strong smell of cleaning chemicals. We're sensitive to stuff like that so asked if they... could move us and they found us another room with no hassle, no questions. The new room was a little smaller but didn't faceBurnside, so quiet and a nicer view. I felt like they really took care of us and were very gracious about doing so. It wasrefreshing to get such nice service and really made our stay fantastic. The staff were all friendly and eager to help. Reallyenjoyed our stay. Read more
