Very, very disappointing. I'v ordered delivery from Meeka in the past and it was great, however, not this time.Spent upwards of... $100 dollars last night, and the food was cold, No sauce for the Agidashi tofu, very little for the tempura, which consistedlargely of POTATO, and my beef teriyaki was so well done it was like trying to eat the leather sole of one of my vintage Beatleboots riddled with large bits of gristle. To say I was disappointed is a bigly understatement.Maybe due to inflation, or a new,sub-par chef or what I know not. The sushi was okay, but just okay, not exceptionally good as in days past. We always getdelivery because the neighborhood where it is located has gone downhill, and is rather unsafe now unless you go armed. I haveordered delivery from them often in the past, but there will be no future orders. Once bitten, twice shy.Sadly, goodbye Meeka,or should I say, SAYONARA. Read more

The food was so good, and the women who were working were so sweet. It was one of the best sushi dinners I have had recently. I... can't wait to go back. Read more

What a great little Japanese restaurant. As authentic as you can get around Portland, and very reasonably priced. We all enjoyed... the sushi, tempura, and marinated beef and chicken. We are all looking forward to coming again. Read more

Small spot with really good service. I just moved in up the street and will be back as often as I have an excuse. I'm usually... hyper critical but I didn't find anything to critique. Texture and flavour were excellent. Read more

We had a group of 8 and she took the men's order and delivered their drinks and starters before ours, instead of at the same... time. We had to actually ask her if she was going to take the women's order, this was after she served them. We all thought thatwas really weird & rude. Other than that, the food was good & the portions were nice. The sodas are $1.50 per can. Read more

Delicious and authentic Japanese food. We didn't get any sushi, but the portions of the regular menu items were unexpectedly... large. We all ate way too much and enjoyed every bit of it. Read more

My wife and I had a great casual dining experience here at Meeks Sushi. It has a very cozy Japanese vibe in a humble and plain... way. The food is great, just what I would expect at a small family owned restaurant. They offer a balanced variety of sushi withcooked ingredients and sushi with raw ingredients and in addition they have many other delicious entrées such as yakisoba andudon. Also small appetizers like gyoza and chickens skewers and much more! Great experience. Would go again. Read more

This is a wonderful restaurant! I ordered 3 sashimi, and one roll, miso, seaweed salad and hot tea. All of the food tasted... fresh. My main order took about 20-30 minutes to arrive. The restaurant is not large, but the service was great. If you have ahuge group you probably want to call to make a reservation to dine in. I spent around $40 including a tip for one person. Read more
