Been here a handful of times and overall give it 5 stars. I love the covered outdoor seating, the beer selection is great, and... the barnyard fries are my favorite, pretzel is great, husband had the ribs and enjoyed them, he used to get the chicken friedsteak, but that looks like it may have moved on from the menu. I like the Killingsworth Chicken Club also, and tried the Addybefore. It was a little dry, but I'm sure had we asked they would have fixed it but it was fine enough. Service has always beenpretty good and the only times it was a wait was when it was busy and they appeared understaffed which I totally understandbeing in the industry right now. Love this place. I've been coming here with my coworkers for years. They have a great beer selection and make a mean old... fashioned as well. I personally think their chicken and waffles are top three in Portland. If you are looking for somethinghealthier the happy healthy bowl is where it's at. Read more
I just want to start by saying that the wait staff was attentive, and the beer selection is awesome. The covered outdoor... seating is nice (except for the large table in the corner leaning at an angle- you guys should fix that). Now the food on theother hand... My wife and I got the hummus platter and the chicken club sandwich to split. The pita for the hummus platterseemed like it was just straight old/ not stored properly. It was borderline hard (not soft) and was extremely thin. The restof the platter was great (hummus, feta, onions, olives), but the Pita and hummus should be the star of the show IMO. I am alsogoing to make a bold statement: I don't think celery belongs on a hummus platter. More cucumber, no celery. The chicken clubwas maybe the most pedestrian sandwich I have had in Portland, period. It was 16 dollars, and it was extremely dry (it didn'thave any sauce, only the grilled onions) and seemed very "basic"; there was just no flavor to be had. I could have made abetter sandwich at home. The fries were warm, but somehow soggy? We thought we were playing it safe by ordering the mostexpensive sandwich, so we were really let down. I don't think I will be going back to get food here, which is a shame becauseit is really close to where I live, and I wanted it to be awesome. Get there early! Enjoy the fog! The breakfast burrito is so satisfying! And don?t forget the bear claws. They are fresh and warm... first thing. They are doing a great job handling the covid era! Super easy ordering with a QR code on the table that tells the staff exactly... where to take everything. All the food was amazing and the beer was great too. Everyone was super respectful and the staff wouldapproach our table only for check ins (they were very friendly) and gave us space otherwise. We brought our dog and they broughtout a water bowl right away. Mask wearing required when away from the table, but not required at the table. Read more
Delicious food, happy tummy ! My husband and I ordered chicken wings as appetizer, it was so tasty and balanced well with the... blue cheese. As for the main courses, we had chicken & waffle and south of the border hash. Overall we had a quite amazingexperience here. Chicken breast was juicy and crispy which I liked very much, and it went well with the syrup they poured overthe waffle. My favorite was the hash, it was so flavorful. Service was great as well.
