It wasn't crowded when we first walked in bit shortly after, it got pretty busy! Great food and the server was very friendly... and nice. But the wait for our food was a VERY long time. We notice people who came after us got theirs first. Not just one,but three tables. They ordered big meals. We order small meals. Stopped in tonight, as this restaurant was recommended by a friend. Nice cozy, relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the fried chicken... with gravy and potatoes and it was quite nice. The corn on the cob with some of the best I've had. My friends ordered theiceberg wedge which looked delicious and I will definitely try it next time I'm there. Dirty. The vibe of this place would be fun and and exciting if it weren?t so dirty. Every plexiglass glass barrier is filthy:... fingerprints, grease or something splattered on each one. The salt and pepper shakers are dirty as well as the ketchup leakingout of the lid, dried and crusty. The prices are high for what they serve too. Overall great experience. The food was definitely delicious. Must recommend the deviled eggs appetizers. Not sure why... there is an odd number of half eggs..kinda trips my mind..2.5 eggs on the plater..who got the other half egg?..lol. but goshdamn they were tasty. I ordered the fried chicken plate. Didn't disappoint. I typically am not a fan of my food(especiallyfried chicken) smothered in gravy. But it seemed to work. The breading was on point and cooked perfectly. Large selection oftaps. Lots of options.. I went with the Oakshire amber. Pleasantly surprised. If your an amber fan..the Oakshire sitsbetween drop top and mack'n'jacks. Smooth, a bit creamy..clean finish. Complimented the chicken plate well. Sat at the bar tomeet an old army buddy. Drinks obviously came quickly.. but otherwise I felt a bit..unattended to(for lack of better words).. especially for sitting at the bar. Hostess had a great smile from behind her mask.. and I noticed a lot of spray and wipe downbetween guest. So they are definitely covid safe. Other than the guy working behind the bar seeming to either not like us..orhad better things to do. I would say the house staff was top notch. Food was prepared by someone that knows thier way around akitchen. I could go on and on about little details..but bottom line. Go. Check them out..and enjoy your meal.
