Nice atmosphere and amazing customer service. The food (at least what I ordered) could?ve had a bit more flavor and the... macaroni was flavorful but very dry. Read more

I was here yesterday with a group of friends (5 total) and the experience was outstanding. The owner/chef came to talk to us,... introducing himself and taking care to make us feel at home. The staff was very responsive and super nice. We asked A LOT ofquestions on the food and all were answered graciously and at length. The food was great. I especially enjoyed the friedcatfish and the hush puppies. My friends raved about the brisket, the ribs, and the trinity greens. I recommend trying thesorrel, which is a drink made with hibiscus juice and it's slightly carbonated; it tasted a little like tamarind. We stayedpast the closing time, but we were not made to feel like we had to get up and leave. The food took a while to arrive at thetable because it is made from scratch. I see it as a positive because it gave us time to hang out and talk. A total win. Read more

First impressions: clean, tidy restaurant, excellent decorations representing the culture. Very friendly staff who all... introduced themselves throughout our meal which made the experience feel homey. Food: quality food, flavorful, good portions Wegot the gritz with chicken and chicken and waffles. Chicken was juicy and crispy on both and season well. Gritz were goodtexture and not mushy. Well seasoned. Chef came out to chat and gave more recommendations for cooking gritz! Read more

The staff was friendly, but not very attentive. I got the ribs and they were OK, but honestly nothing to write home about. What... killed me was the wait. It took a loooong time to get served, I'm talking almost an hour after we ordered. There were only twoother people there who arrived after us, and somehow managed to get served a solid 20 minutes before us. It seemed like theywere busy working on take out orders so at the very least I would recommend ordering out and not dining in. Read more

Amazing fried okra and hush puppies. Not too many veggie options but the ones they have are great - I got the veggie sandwich... and loved it. All of the meat options my friends got looked really good too. They also have a couple of delicious desserts. Igot the sweet potato pie and loved it Read more

I knocked a star cause I ordered the mac and cheese. It wasn't good. I hated the bread crumbs within it. It wasn't creamy or... cheesy. But the fried catfish Po'Boy was delicious ???????? even with the "pickle relish salad" they put on top, it gave itfreshness and texture. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Reminded me a lot of NOLA. Read more
