This restaurant is so incredible! The fried skewers are perfectly done! I'm picky, so I don't say that lightly. Well done on the... inside with a light, crunchy batter on the outside. No greasiness. The boiled skewers in the broth were incredibly tasty. Mydaughter loved the beef noodle soup, and she's pickier than I am. We live 1.5 hours away, but we will definitely be returning. Read more
So I've never been to a place like this. I stumbled on this place on accident and it was one of the best accidents I've ever... had. The entire setup is so clean and it is a little bit of a learning curve but it's worth it. We tried to order somethingfrom each section of the menu... The popcorn chicken from appetizers. Followed by a bowl of sweet potato noodles ???? in spicygravy. Then came the boils bowl ???? in which we were able to choose our own ingredients. Like lobster/crab, chicken, topa, cornetc. Then we chose a deep fried menu item as well which fries the ingredients you choose. The last item we got was a curry bowlwith our choices of meats and vegetables and sweet potato noodles. This was the best curry I've had in a lonnnnng time. Theatmosphere was clean with very good music playing the customer service felt almost like we were treated like family. They checkon you to make sure you're okay constantly. They're so sweet they don't even let you pack your own leftovers! They do it foryou! I will visit this place again and feel lucky I live in a city that will allow me to experience cultures and places likethis. Five out of five. Craving spicy food on a typical chilly day in Portland? You?ve come to the right place! Very flavorful and spicy/ numbing soup... base with skewers which you can pick your own and it will be cooked to order. Service are nicer than average Chinese restaurants definitely, give a point for that. 3.5 with rounding. The taste of food is... normal I definitely have tried better one in other place, but the thing is the more you eat, the more you feel actually it?spretty good. It?s what I may come back once or twice if I live nearby. This type of restaurant it?s not a lot in Oregon, give acredit for that. But the food could be expensive, I really consider for 3 star but yeah, still pretty good tho???? Read more
Excellent spot with great flavors and a taste of something different than you?re used to. It?s pretty unclear unless you?ve been... there before I guess but you grab a few skewers of whatever you want and they?ll either fry or boil them for you. If you getthem boiled you get a bowl of delightful broth with some kind of noodles or rice. The fried skewers just come with some sweetpepper sauce. All in all this place was a great surprise. This is a really great place. If you come here, come for the food quality and price. It's a small place run by only a few people... so don't expect speedy attentive service. The price is really affordable and they really work hard to make your food so try totip a little more here since it is a locally owned business.
