We tried this place for happy hour on Friday evening. Got there at 4:08 and already a line and almost full. Luckily we got a... table but could only stay until the 6pm reservation shows up. 2 hours was plenty. Got three different whisky cocktails and allfantastic. Bit surprised the old fashioned I ordered on the daily special was $26 but it was pretty tasty and so cool they pressan image into the big square ice cube. Love this basement level, no window, William Morris wallpapered cozy bar with great food. I’ve been in Portland a little over... one year and finally found nice bar that I feel revisiting many times to come. Too bad I only had a short time , I only hadpickle spiced fries, which was very good but next time I will ask to go easy on salt/spice because it was a bit too salty forme. We sat at the bar by the kitchen, this was good spot to see how it’s all done. I wish I had more time and had wholedinner. The menu items looked interesting. The cocktail I had Islay Daiquiri was very good, sweet but not too sweet and smokynote. My husband had Painkiller Cobbler. This was in purple and pretty to look at, and tasted juicy and sweet. They have a greatmany whiskeys. Next time I will make a solid plan and have proper dinner and try few cocktails. Read more
OMG! What a place! They have more than 400 brands of whiskey. Ambiance is stunning. I had one of my best cocktails here. Smoke... Break and finally I had a chance to try one of most peaty whiskey in the world and loved it! Food was delicious too. I willcomeback 100%! Read more
Guys. They’ve restored my faith in the Portland food scene. Not only was every dish delicious and cocktails amazing, the... service was the best!! Our server, Brendan, was so friendly and attentive. He shared all the pros and cons with each thing andhelped us pick the best dishes. The Pappardelle was AMAZING! The soft shell crab sandwich was good, and we’re glad we orderedit, but probably won’t do it again (Brendan even told us it was popular, but we should have went with his suggestion of theseasonal dish). The beets were a great starter, and maybe next time we will try the Brie. The Smoke Break (drink) is deceivingwith its name. It’s complex and slightly sweet (try it!). And ask for cocktails not on the menu and they’ll deliver… overall you will pay for it, and it’s worth it!! Read more
Really enjoyed my experience here. Make reservations if you can, but we were able to get seated in under 5 minutes at a table as... a walk in; the seats in front of the bar were all reserved. Perfectly romantic for a date; unpretentious but elegant spot for ameet up with friends; I really enjoyed this experience. The cocktails were great and they have an extensive wine selection. Onlyhad a chance to try the dill spiced fries (as a person who doesn’t usually like dill, these were very very good). The roundabout midnight cocktail was perfection. Read more
Michelin star worthy establishment from the food, curated scotch collection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and open kitchen... concept. We made sure to book reservations 5 days in advance early in the morning to secure a coveted spot. The cocktails werecomplex and wonderful. Food was incredibly flavourful and beautifully plated. Pacing of dishes and drinks was thoughtful. Thestaff is very knowledgeable of the scotch collection. Highly recommend and would come back again in a heartbeat. Read more
I love this place for the drinks mostly but the food is also good. The atmosphere is great and the bartenders put on a good... show. Can you mix and shake a drink? They sure can. And it tastes good too. I highly recommend this place but it's small so callahead for a table. Read more
Scotch Lodge is a proper night out. Lovely place to stop in for drinks or a full evening with dinner. The cocktails are unique... and delicious. The whiskey selection has something for everyone (half pours available too). The ambiance is beautiful andrelaxing. The food is very tasty too (love the fried Brie). Always a good experience here.
