A coworker gifted me a certificate and my partner wanted to celebrate a new job and this was such a stunning and delightful way... to do that. We stuck with small plates (veal paté, poached shrimp, haricots certs, etc), but what blew me away was the tripesmall plate and floating island. The waiter was very well versed in the wine list as well, and it was a delightful evening ofcelebration. Read more

St Jack has always been great but last time I went there in September 2022 wasn’t so great. It started with the hostess did... not seem to pay attention to us when she took us to our table. The food was slow but we were willing to wait however thehostess were enthusiastic to tell the waitress to box our appetizer which we were eating while waiting for the main course. When the main course came out, my chicken was rare. I did not have the feeling of welcome as I used to have. They really tryto rush us out of the restaurant but our food were not even cooked yet. St Jack was good to us in the past but we will wait alittle and try again if things would change. I really hope st Jack owners or managers makes than changes needed because thisis one of my favorite restaurant n Portland. I was truly disappointed with our last visit. Read more

St. Jack is the second French restaurant we experienced, and honestly after dining at the very wonderful Le Pigeon I didn’t... think I could be impressed, and I was wrong! Our dining experience at St. Jack was excellent, the food was delicious and sobeautifully presented, the cocktails we had were refreshing (the weather that night was in the triple digits and we neededsomething to cool down) and crafted to perfection. We had the foie grass, the tuna crudo, the pateé, the special of the day,and of course we had to try the caviar, after all we were spoiling ourselves! Everything was remarkable, including the service, our waiter was knowledgeable and eager to answer our questions about the menu. I can’t wait to go back and take our friends! Read more

One of the many solid places to get some great food along NW 23rd. The food here has always been consistently great and the... service is wonderful. My go to dish here is their large dry age steak with frites that can be shared. Even the simple thingslike bread and butter here is good. Read more

I've now been here twice (once pre-Pandy and just went recently) and not much has changed, which was nice considering so many... restaurants have since the Pandy. Prices were fair and service was good. Jasmine was our server and was very nice. I don't haveanything amazing or bad to say. It gets pretty busy though so make a reservation. Read more

First off- must try the insanely huge chicharrones. They are airy and crispy with some spice with maple syrup on the side to... make the perfect pork rind experience. The interior is wonderfully low lit and cozy. Cocktails, food, and service was all great. Read more

Overall a great experience, there were some minor disappointments with the food (unseasoned foie gras and a bone marrow dish... with corn that didn’t really work), but even our least favourite dish wasn’t unenjoyable. It’s a nice balance of refinedand elevated without being pretentious… Read more
