We were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel manager, who for the record doesn't like sushi, suggesting that he loved... this sushi place. We took his word and WERE BLOWN AWAY. The staff was friendly, and offered us fresh sushi andrecommendations, the sushi itself was up there on our list of favorite sushi rolls of all time, and the atmosphere was calmingand relaxing, yet also brought us into the moment. I eat at Sushi Sapporo about twice a month! Their sushi is always consistent and fresh! Their staff is extremely nice and... attentive, they even know my order! You are welcome to choose items straight off the track or you can order items from the menu.I highly recommend the Volcano Roll, Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, and Tropical roll. Wonderful. We sat at a booth but I think a chair beside the conveyor belt would be the most fun. Food is very affordable. We... could see a chef slicing salmon. Very cool. Food prepared right in the center of the restaurant!!!?? Had asparagus rolls, crabsalad rolls, California rolls, tempura shrimp rolls. On average $1 per roll. There were cookies and fruit, watermelon andgrapes. Egg rolls. Dumplings. Yum. Wait staff was super friendly and kept refilling our drinks. Couldn't ask for better serviceor food. My daughter comes here all the time and just loves it. Lots of parking. Lots of gluten free options and vegetarianoptions. Stuffed mushrooms looking amazing. ???????????????? Love this place. Always my go to when I?m in Portland. They have the best customer service I?ve seen in any sushi place. They... always come up to you and ask if there is anything you would like and always making sure the customer has a great experience!Also, there sushi is really good quality and delicious. Last time we came in with a big group and there was no booth?savailable, but the server went out of his way and made us feel so welcome and set us all up to sit together where the chairsare.
