One of the most reliable DIY/underground venues in town. Very inclusive space with a lot of heart

This bar is also a record shop and a community space for art and music of all sorts. Pretty much the coolest place around and... what I would imagine as an example of the cooler old Portland I've heard so much about. Being a transplant since 2015 I can'tsay much to that effect but the place speaks for itself. A true gem! Read more

My favorite place to see shows in the city. An intimate & cosy club that hosts a wide range of musical styles for your listening... pleasure. Limited capacity these days, so get there early if it?s a well known band. Read more

Nice venue. Glitchlette (WA) and Apolojesus (NY) rocked it!! Friendly bar staff.

I have been a couple of times to listen to a friend's band. Both times there have been issues with getting the monitors and/or... speakers to work. It seems tough on the bar staff who are trying to get people their beer and their food and run the soundboard. There are only a few beer selections but it's a good variety of local beers. The food menu is limited but they aren'treally a restaurant, so I wouldn't expect any different. There is definitely a strong hipster feel to the place. The staff andcustomers all have matching ironic outfits and too-cool-to-care attitudes. Read more

I love this venue because they give all the money from ticket prices taken at the door to the bands. They also host a wide array... really amazing musicians that are sort of under the radar. The stage can be sort of hard to see and the sound is not alwaysspectacular, but it is still a great venue! Read more
