Great place for beers you don?t normally find at your local grocery store, and the sausage in a bun was awesome. Fair prices,... and amazing service. Definitely will be back to try more options for the menu. Read more

I love German food, my parents came from Southern Germany a region called Bavaria and in fact my father was a chef. I love the... Pacific Northwest because we actually have some good German restaurants and Urban German is a wonderful surprise we came acrossyesterday in our search for some authentic sauerkraut. The food is phenomenal the location is just beautiful right under StJohns bridge near Cathedral Park, a beautiful setting. Family-friendly it has a lovely outdoor patio or beer garden and insidethe walls are covered with reminders of a country I hold dear. My husband loves Schweinshaxen. It is a pork hock and they didsuch an amazing job the skin was crispy and the meat was delicious it goes through a curing process similar to ham before it'sroasted and it's just amazing and not easy to find they did a beautiful beautiful job. I was thrilled to meet I think the ownerwho said he was from Berlin, he told me they make their own sausages which to me makes the place authentic and in fact you canbuy sausages to take home there's a small freezer near the front counter. I ordered sausage and pomfrets also known as frenchfries. I ate every single french fry it was just fantastic they were light and airy and crispy and seasoned and perfect and justsomething you must have when you're there I cannot wait to go back to try other menu items because what we ordered was fantasticwe also had a pretzel with a cheese fondue sauce and they have different kinds of mustard and ketchups on tap. This seems like agreat place for young people in the evening I'm sure it gets really fun and exciting and during the day you can bring your dogor your kids and sit on the deck and enjoy the park after lunch just a wonderful wonderful place I can't recommend it enough. Great patio, great food, great beer. The sun can get a little intense with how the patio is positioned, but they have done a... good job providing adjustable shading. That said, maybe wear sunscreen if you're going in the late afternoon on a sunny summerday. Read more

Good beer selection with big glasses. The pretzel and bratwurst was the right size to leave room for dessert. The seasonal apple... strudel was like having a fresh baked pie with ice cream. Very good overall but the parking lot can be to capacity at times. Read more

The food was decent, but nothing spectacular. The view was lovely and the beer selection was good. The vegan sunflower... schnitzel tasted a lot like those frozen fake "chicken" patties you find and many grocery stores. I think I disappointed myselfbecause I was expecting something less processed and with more obvious sunflower bits. The fries were good, the salad wasfresh. The pork roast was dry and chewy in parts, but decent with the gravy. Mashed potatoes and sauerkraut were good. Go forthe beer. Read more
