Two stars only because of the older gentleman last night who DID give good service. We're staying here at the Hilton Canopy... hotel, and Vaux is their restaurant. Usually Hilton restaurants' food is at least acceptable, but that is sadly NOT the casehere. *NO* paper menus, you must scan on your mobile (the hotel is very "trendy," and "eco friendly" and would likely NOT serveolder people very well). Very limited choices, and several were "out of stock." The pizza we ordered last night had to be sentback because it wasn't hot, and when the new one (I assume they made a new one) came, it was barely better than a cheap frozenpizza. The Caesar salad had far too many croutons, which were soggy. This morning, we attempted to order the breakfastsandwich, and the girl behind the counter was clueless and ended up saying, "Oh, I don't think we have any more of those." Wegave up and went down the street two blocks to Fuller's Coffee house, which was EXCELLENT. Read more

I was starting a new job over there as a dishwasher and this white bartender that works there was disrespectful and... discrimination I'm a African American. The chef show me around the kitchen on my interview rats coming and running on disheslooking for food the Chef told me what's go on in the kitchen stays in the kitchen. They even had some one cleaning raw chickenI never seen the cook clean knife are the red cutting board I just saw Cross contamination. Plus roaches crawling on clean anddirty plates I ask the Chef Mr. Alfred why is the kitchen so dirty his answer was not to many employees work here he has to doall the work I'm going to report this restaurant to head quarters because people can get sick are food poison they even havefamilies with kids that eat here cause it's connected to a hotel I'm just letting people know how dirty behind the scenes thisback of the restaurant is. Tried to start the night out here because I had credits to burn. Drinks were underwhelming for the price and the credits went... fast, additionally the bartender didn't know what a highball drink was and then kind of became combative about it. He swung bytwice to try and tell us we were wrong about how a highball is served and what ingredients are in it. Also took the tip receiptwhile we were still trying to enjoy our drinks. He didn't once ask if we liked our drinks, or if we needed water, etc. Honestlywith several other great bars and restaurants in the area unless you're trying to burn your status credits I'd probably go withliterally any other option! Food was good and the price was reasonable. The service on the other hand was poor, I had to wait over 50 min for just a pizza.

The staff is unbelievable and made the our time very fun. The food is pretty solid and it's not a bad place to hang out of... you're staying in the hotel. I probably wouldn't specifically go here if I wasn't staying in the hotel, but it's not a badoption. Read more

Stayed at the Canopy hotel a few months back, and fell in love with the deviled eggs at Vaux. Had to pop in for another serving... of those seriously umami mad appetizers. Read more

Very nice and cozy place. Food was very tasty and flavorful! NY Strip was amazingly good. Quite tasty!! Gnocchi was great... and the Simple Green Salad was very refreshing! I truly enjoyed the lemon vinaigrette dressing! Although it took quite a longtime for our meal, the staffs were very nice and friendly! Read more

Awesome food! Even better drinks! We got an old fashioned, a Sazerac, the halibut, and the short ribs. The food was awesome,... fork tender for everything. Haley made the best old fashioned I've ever had, and that's my go to drink. Definitely worth thevisit whether you're local or visiting. Read more
