We love picking up food from here. They have great food at reasonable prices, but they lost a star for me today. I made the... mistake of ordering a couple dozen tamales because I assumed they would be good just like everything else is. Worst tamales Ihave ever tasted. I couldn't even swallow was so bad. Definitely will continue going back but be warned tamales are a no go! Read more

My wife and I had dinner here last night! The $10 specials with a soda was awesome! Wife had flautas and I had Al Pastor!... Serving sizes were large and service was nice. We enjoyed the food and thought it was very flavorful, salsas and queso were alsoexcellent. Read more

First time here , WILL NOT be my last!! The salsa was the best I have had in Corpus Christi. I ordered the grilled shrimp Maya... Salad ( with the shrimp and salad dressing on the side) Sooooo many shrimp it was truly amazing in today's restaurant marketwhere they charge more for less. And the cook and seasoning on shrimp was perfection!! My husband had the Maya plate meat insome kind of magic sauce with charro beans ( best I have had , and I don't like charro beans.) And rice. The meat was covered inbacon pieces( I smelled the minute they sat his food down) I am so impressed with this place , I can't wait till next time weare in area because as much as I loved what we both ordered, I want to try more. If you are ANYWHERE near this place and hungrySTOP IN!! Read more

Bright, clean atmosphere. Friendly wait staff and wide selection of appetizers and entrees. Warm chips and salsa were... immediately brought to our table with drinks. Food was served quickly and tasted great. Very popular with the locals judgingfrom the cordial exchange between customers and owner. Read more

My husband and I first visited this restaurant for breakfast two weeks ago and it was delicious. So, last night, we chose this... restaurant for dinner AND WOW WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! Frozen margaritas brought to the table, not exactly frozen. We ordered ourdinner, both plates were room temperature cool, NOT HOT as it should be. The Chalupa plate was delivered not as the menu said itto be, the waitress was questioned and I was informed that she doesn't "pay attention to the menu details". She never asked if Iwould want the plate replaced! The food was cold, greasy and poorly served. When I finally got her attention, she lied aboutasking me to replace the plate. By that time, I was so thoroughly annoyed with this experience, I simply wanted to leave. Noneof the staff attended nor checked to see if we needed anything, O BUT, when it came to Paying the BILL .......WOW, THEN AND ONLYTHEN......they paid attention! Surely, if you are looking for authentic Mexican Cuisine...seek out other restaurants! There isabsolutely NO personal care in their "Cuisine". The wait staff and their "cooks", seriously need a reality check! Taco Bellwould have been better! Read more

This is truly a hidden gem in Portland. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the moment we walked in. The... margaritas were affordable and darn good. Warm chips and salsa were a good start while we read the menu. After reading through anice variety of dishes we selected the fajita plate and spinach and poblano chicken breast. They both were tasty and there wasplenty of food. All the sides were very flavorful. I can highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. They alsoserve breakfast until 11:30 and breakfast tacos until 2. Read more

Good value for food. Mass, flavor, price. Free chips are thick and free salsa has good flavor. I ate a daily special... (parrillada = beef, chicken, sausage). Flavor was ok. Value is good. Corn tortillas are quite large. I thought they wereflour at first. Service was acceptable. Read more
