Best sushi in town for a casual dinner. Always fresh and tasty. The service is very attentive and helpful.
I love this sushi the servers here and the place is very nice but the rice was not my favorite but that?s ok
We had our first delicious lunch here a month ago and have returned often for their bento boxes, salmon teriyaki (best salmon... ever!) and rolls.Justin?s kind and efficient service is nice too. The restaurant is nestled in the Ladera Shopping Center justoff 280 at Alpine Road. Anyone who loves sushi at a reasonable price should make a stop and LOCALS- I envy your being nearby. Read more
This place is fantastic! The food is all high quality, particularly the fresh fish. It serves Portola Valley so it's definitely... Japanese-American (the wasabi isn't very spicy...?) but honestly I like that, and really there's something for everyone,including a conversation in Japanese with the owners for Japanophiles. And did I mention the food is soooo good?? The udon, theobento, the teppenyaki.... it's all so delicious!! Read more
Recently opened sushi restaurant in Portola Valley/Ladera...finally some Asian food in the area! Came for lunch and was... encouraged to check out the sushi specials board, but when I ordered 3 items (there were only 5 specials that day), not even onewas available! Instead, I ordered sushi off the ?regular? menu...the first item was fine but the second was very ?fishy? andquite possibly spoiled (I didn?t eat much to be safe). The server clearly saw that I hadn?t finished my meal but didn?t botherasking if everything was alright! Hopefully the dinner service is better...really wanted to like this place, if for no otherreason than it?s the only sushi place in the area! Read more
