Excellent first experience. Homemade pasta tasted like healthy pride. Customer service was heart filled and overall feel was... soothing. Rose added a personal touch by coming out to meet a veteran in person. Thanks for the warm and loving atmosphere! Read more

Pizza Margherita is a cheese pizza. Not a Margherita. The kale and sausage pizza was close to inedible. The crust is like a... flatbread. Yuck. Read more

The food was ok. For what it cost, it should have been better. The service was mostly good. We had to wait a pretty long time... for our waiter once we started eating, but once we got their attention service was quick and friendly Read more

Worst Crab Benedict I've ever had. Looks good but had zero flavor. Also tried their bacon waffle and that was also... tasteless. Seating is really good though. But I don't recommend eating here. Service is polite but slow. We were ignored mostof the time and had to flag them down to order. Read more

Portola Kitchen is a relatively standard affair. Originally it had a bit of a "hidden gem" Italian flair to it but over time it... has trended more towards just a standard American/Italian restaurant. Food is definitely hearty but nothing that blows yourmind. Generally good ingredients but again, it is more put together with care rather than craft. If it wasn't for a home-stylewelcoming and cozy interior, I may have even notched it down a star. Perhaps I had too high of expectations. Read more

Wandered in after getting disgusted by the parking situation at another nearby restaurant. Very pleasantly surprised by the... attentive service, taste and quality of the food, and the availability of gluten free options. Crab cakes were really good.Crispy outside and soft inside. Margherita Pizza, initially, didn't look super appealing visually, but was very tasty with agood balance of thin crust, cheese, and sauce. I'll be back. Read more

Portola Kitchen is my absolute favorite restaurant. I live over an hour away, but it’s always worth the drive. You can’t go... wrong with any of the menu items. For appetizers the calamari is always a big hit, the pear salad is delicious, and the heirloomtomato and burrata salad is my husband’s favorite. I think I’ve tried most of their entrees at this point and I love themall! Some of my favorites are the Gorgonzola tenderloin, the conchiglie pasta with chicken, and the salmon filet. You can’tleave without trying the olive oil cake for dessert! Their newest drink on the menu— the watermelon martini— is the perfectsummer drink. Can’t wait to come back! Read more
