Spent a couple of nights in downtown Portsmouth and found the Works Café the first morning. Sure glad we did. Their Americano... coffee and their fresh muffins were a great pairing. We met friends here and it was really nice to be able stay awhile and catch up over coffee and pastries. Bagels are nice and... fresh, and I think they'll warm them up if you'd like. Vacationing in New Hampshire (Portsmouth). Downtown Portsmouth is awesome with many eating and shopping businesses (all... entrepreneurs). 'The Works' was by far my favorite dining mostly due to their healthy dishes as well as healthy smoothies. Theorganic bowl 'Chicken Pesto' was truly one of the tastiest, freshest bowls i have eaten. If you?re in Portsmouth, The Works cafe is a must! Located in the center of the quintessential town, The Works offers the... freshest bagels and cream cheese. The bagels are light and fluffy and you can tell they were made only hours before being sold.The cafe is small and gets busy so be prepared to wait in a line and take your sandwich to go.
