Rodger Brown- known for the name perhaps, makes people wonder about this establishment. It's nothing spectacular, took about 7... minutes or more to be seated, no one to greet you when you walk in, those that do walk by just look as if you're invisible. No,they weren't busy. Our waitress was friendly, food was just okay. I ordered a mushroom and swiss burger, bun was hard & cold asif toasted and waited for burger ???????????. The meat was seasoned good though, I had to wait additional time for mayo. Thesteak quesadilla was bland and jasmine rice, hard- unknown additional $2 for a side that he didn't even eat. Not pictured: cheese curds which were delicious! I had never had a batter on cheese curds like theirs before. Reviewing 4 stars... because 2 burgers were ordered the exact same way (medium), but one came out very pink. The fries were delicious along with themashed potatoes! Read more
Meal was great. Southern traditional menu I had grilled pork chop, loaded mash potato and collars with honey corn bread. Real... sweet Iced tea. Others had flank steak or catfish and crab cakes. As down home as any meal I have had in years. Therestaurant is huge and open and comfortable. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. Prices more than reasonable for thequantity and amount of food.
