Went for drinks with some friends on the weekend and had a great time. Great food and drinks and a wonderful, fun bartender... named Cody who personalized our drinks to suit our individual preferences. Will definitely come back- such a quaint locationwith the building tucked into a recessed area of the shopping center. Nice intimate setting inside with a friendly staff. Read more

Food was delicious! Best salmon I’ve had in a while!

Went on a Sunday and while we had a decent bit of a wait for an outdoor table - this place is fantastic! The wings, oysters,... thai mussels, mushroom pasta, and burgers were all great. Ambiance was lovely. The ice cream was a beautiful surprise for thekiddos. Service started a bit slow but wow did they come through at the end. 10/10. Definitely recommend sitting outside.Thanks! I dined at Lock 72 for the first time this past Sunday enjoying a sensational prime casual dining experience. The entire L72... operation is well thought out including curb appeal, interior design, lighting and furnishings; superior hospitality/customerservice from knowledgeable, personable staff; wonderfully prepared and artfully plated menu list - using flavorful, farm freshingredients. The interior is done in lighter color earth tones, restaurant interior has appealing sight lines, soft lightingand music sound level is moderate. I dined at the bar. The bar chairs have backs, seats have a bit of cushion and the bar top isstone. I enjoyed Swordfish with beurre blanc sauce substitution I requested, Fresh Cut Fries and Carrot Cake for dessert that isserved with a scoop of homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. L72 Carrot Cake is delicious. It is not the cloying carrot cake you oftenencounter. I started with a Negroni that Randy, the bartender, kindly made for me using my recipe, 1 shot gin, 1/2 shot Campariand 1/4 shot sweet vermouth stirred on rocks and strained into a rocks glass and enjoyed a sauvignon blanc paired with theswordfish, a shot of Kahlúa and shot of espresso with the carrot cake and vanilla ice cream. Went hiking at C&O Canal and was looking to have a burger type of meal afterward. This fit the bill. I got a chicken sandwich,... the chicken was quite dry but with everything else on the sandwich, it wasn’t a horrible thing. The flavors were marriedtogether well. My cousin got a burger and he said it was definitely worth the $20. Their prices were high but given the area, Iassume this is why. The highlight of lunch was the apple dessert. Wow. Standing ovation. It was tough choosing between thedeserts offered as they all sounded delicious. Would recommend Lock72! Read more
