Never been to Hawaii but I find it hard to believe this food is Hawaiian. A lot of fried food on the menu. Entrees come on a... bed of cabbage. Most items we ordered were so salty we couldn’t eat them. My salmon was paper thin & crispy!!!! Potato salad(elbow macaroni & mayo) comes with the entrees. Definitely disappointed!!!! We were visiting Potsdam and the son saw this place. He was feeling like some Kahlua pork and Mac salad. He ordered it and we... took it back to the hotel to eat. It was okay he said. I tried it...the pork needed to be a bit more smokey. The cabbagediluted to pork flavor. The Mac salad was missing something to be from Hawaii. Overall, I would go back. Read more

In town on business, and it's a cold night, blustery night. Staying at the Clarkson Inn. Looked at reviews, and decided to try... Lee's (tried their neighbor last night and didn't like the service) in part because of its proximity to the hotel. Lee's issmall but clean and bright. The staff waited on me quickly and helped me pick out what I'd like (told them I was interested inthe chicken or pork bowl). Got the BBQ Chicken bowl and an order of wings. Not sure what I was thinking, as it was A LOT offood (glad I have a freezer in the room and can take the wings home!). Food was cooked quickly, and I was on the way back to myroom with the food (~10 minute total round trip!). The wings were bigger than you get in most places. And SO good-- nicecoating and spices on it, a flavor that complimented the bbq chicken. The chicken bowl was delicious-- the only room forimprovement would be more veggies, but I'll bet most would be fine with what was there. LOTS of meat. If I were going to behere another night, I'd go back tomorrow and get the pork bowl. I always like going to "mom and pop" local eateries, and Lee'sHawaiian Grill did not disappoint! Read more
