Let me start by saying...If you have time to kill and someone super interesting to talk to, this may be your place. Food was... excellent. The wait however, is crazy long. We walked right in sat down in a nearly empty restaurant..maybe three other tablesoccupied..and still waited over an hour for our dinners. My advice would be to order apps and dinner simultaneously ( Wefinished our apps before waitress came back to take dinner order????) Also not really kid friendly as there is actually no kidsmenu. Went for Cinco De Mayo, with a reservation, and unfortunately waited well over an hour for food and almost 30minutes for drinks.... We understood the occasion would make the restaurant busier than usual so while annoyed by the wait, we understood. Food arrivedcold and not well prepared however. It may have been a staffing issue so we may try again in the future once more, but overallI'd be hesitant in the future. Read more
Food was amazing! I ordered the veggie enchilada. Veggies on top were perfectly seasoned with just a bit of charring. The... filling was savory-sweet. The sauce was creamy and rich. The server was very pleasant. Food was ready at an average pace.Atmosphere was fun and inviting. The music was a little loud for me, but I was able to carry on a conversation. I cannot stress or exaggerate how good the food and service is at Pottstown Juan Carlos. I got the shrimp quesadilla appetizer... and traded a piece for one of my dates shrimp tacos and both were culinary perfection. For my entree I ordered chicken mole. Iwas already stuffed from the appetizer and I could not stop eating! Also, there is a lovely space downstairs in the wine cellarfor private events. Read more
The food was excellent! We had the spicy shrimp appetizer (I'm sorry for not remembering the name), which came with a basket of... bread to dip in the sauce. Then, my whole family got various kinds of enchiladas, which had different complementary sauces.Service was quick and attentive, and the waitresses were very personable. I do not recommend. Owner is unkind and does not pay employees. If you’re a POC, this is likely not a place you should spend... your money. Read more
