Stopped by for fist time to pickup quick take home diner. I got NYC Dog and Reuben Dog, wife was dangerous with dog with bacon... and whiz cheese. Also fry?s. Loved mine and good fries. I ordered chicken tenders which my grandchildren loved & hot sausages (for me). They were the truth! The cost was $6 for two.... The water ice was so delicious as well. I certainly have been & will continue to frequent. The fries are so delicious as well!They have my vote! Read more
We had the Underdog Catering Company cater an event today. They were amazing! Not only was the food outstanding, they were the... friendliest people you will ever want to work with. These small business owners went above and beyond to make our day run assmoothly as possible. They even helped me load my car up when I was leaving! We only found out about this Mom n Pop hot dog shop today. Friends told us about this place when we were bummed about not... getting to another local dog shop before they closed. We gave this a try and boy are we glad we did. WOW!!! Pottstown has somehidden treasures and this is definitely one of them. The folks inside made us feel very welcomed and answered our questionsexcitedly. We got 4 different dogs and split them in half so we could try some of each. We had the Underdog, NYC dog, Pizza dogand the Mad dog. We also split a large fry. The dogs and fries came out packaged nicely and we headed home to enjoy our food. We got home in about 10 minutes and it was another 5 or 10 minutes until we could sit down to eat. Everything was still pipinghot and oh so good. Tl;dr: GO HERE It's yummy (your personal trainer doesn't need to know) you won't be disappointed and it's not expensive ????... if you're still hungry after, you miscalculated your stomach or should probably drink a glass of water, you'll be fine. Winnerwith little kids (Bonus) Heard about this hidden local gem online and we're glad we did! Parked on the street right outside thedoor, inside atmosphere immediately felt pre-pandemic, normal-cheerier times. Nobody hurrying you to order (people can be reallyrude, these days). The lady at the register also didn't make it overly complicated with the choices/this/that, and checkout wasjust as easy, up-to-date tech. If you're like me, you're just so excited to have tasty choices almost instantly ((instead ofdoing the prep, cooking, hoping it gets eaten by the fam, and cleanup)) that this is a mini-celebration. And, you simply HAVE tomake sure you didn't skip any "the one that checks all the boxes" dishes, which requires a thorough read over. We made themistake of walking in already ravenous so that even after the minimal wait time (appreciated the small arcade area in the frontwindows!) we hightailed it home, the cheese fries never made it out of the car, and our three special hot dog sandwiches(Reuben, Underdog, and Philly) didn't stand a chance. They vanished before photos could be taken but, were amazing and worthevery bit. (They looked as good as the ones other people showed, look at them ?????????????) I'll have to go back for thevarious loaded fries, the French fry ???? part alone ???? stood above the rest in this area but after seeing how they cancombine toppings and flavors, we are definitely returning.
