After enjoying the Walkway Over the Hudson, we looked for a local restaurant to have lunch. We saw that Erin O'Neill's was only... a short walk away, decided to give it a try, and we are very glad that we did. Since it was such a nice day, we sat at one ofthe tables outside. The waitress as well as the man we think is the owner, were both very friendly. The service was quick andthe food was excellent. I had the pulled pork sandwich and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who asked. My wifecouldn't decide, so she got 2 different "starters" figuring between the two, it would be a full meal. Each of the starters werea generous portion. She really enjoyed what she had of each of them. If we visit the Poughkeepsie area again, we'll definitelystop by here to eat. Read more
Stop by to visit Erin and get a bite to eat. We've come by before and the place was packed and there are several reasons why... !! Today we went earlier around 3 pm and it was fantastic. I had the Trackside Cheese Steak which was incredible, my wifefeasted on the La Isla Bonita, which also on a brioche bun, had a delectable sweet, chili-pineapple relish. We'll definitely begoing back, the atmosphere was relaxed and Erin waited on us personally. We just had to get the fresh-made Keylime Pie to go!! We went to Erin O'Niell's on May 08, 2022 for some Fish & Chips and delicious cold beer from an Irish Pub. ?? It was Mothers Day... and was not able to order the Fish & Chips.???? They had a select special menu for the day. We did have Ceasar Salad, adelicious Steak Dinner with perfectly poured pints of beer. The Jameson Bread Pudding for dessert that we shared was a truedelight. Wait staff and experience was excellent. ???? Place is situated about a mile walk to Poughkeepsie Train Station and theWalkway over the Hudson. They have outdoor dining which has views of the Walkway. Been wanting to try this little Irish pub/restaurant for a while. Loved the atmosphere and staff, really friendly and make it... very cozy. Food was excellent and we wanted to order lots to try. Portions are huge! Desserts were my favorite- I would eat theseasonal fruit crumble everyday! Read more

Cindy was a breath of fresh air from the pass through the threshold of the entrance.. I enjoyed the environment for more... reasons than one. I love great food and good service. Great little place! We picked it on a whim! Erin is absolutely a sweetheart & super cool. The staff was hardworking and... attentive and friendly! They accommodated our party of six for lunch. We had the fish & chips, orange chicken, grilled cheese &tom soup, and the fruit cobbler special with roasted grapes & nuts! All the food was quite tasty & had pretty good interestingflavors! Came in on a Tuesday not long after opening. Was seated quickly and my food arrived quickly as well. Both servers were very... welcoming. I got the LA Isla Bonita sandwich (the fish one) at the recommendation of the server (Mike if I remember correctly).The fish was battered very nicely, and the sweet chili-pineapple relish in the sandwich also being delicious and complimentaryto the fish. The fries that came with the sandwich were crispy and fluffy on the inside. The toilets are also very clean andthere are some parking spots for customers.
