Laugh it Up! Comedy Club located at 35 Main Street in the city of Poughkeepsie met my expectations in terms of it being a... hilarious and delightful comedy show. Lots of laughs just like their name implies! It's always a fun night out. There aredifferent comedians that entertain the audience and some are better than others in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, they are allfunny with their joke telling performances. Definitely worth the price of admission. Going to this Comedy Club ???? was a way todo something different instead of doing usual things like going to the movies. I didn't know it was in the conference room of the hotel so that is a little off putting but once the show starts you don't... really notice. I wish they had a show card with all the acts they have that night and their info cuz I want to follow theirsocials cuz they were all funny and I forgot who the openers were. The food and drinks are cheap and it's hotel food so it's notthe best but not the worst ever in the entire world. I'd come back especially since it's so close to my house. I can't say nofor the price of the ticket and a good night out with my husband and or friends. The servers fill your drinks the whole time,your laughing for almost 2 hours. It's a good time. I think I went to Laugh it up when it was at Mahoney's and it being in anactual bar was a little cooler but the vibe was meh. We went there and there were nasty hecklers and they not only heckled thestage but also us ( my mom and I for no reason) after the show. The vibe was way better here at the hotel. Went to a 7/24 9:30 show.. gut busting hilariously funny! We saw several comedians however the two highlights for me were Kevin,... the juggler and Tony Woods, who probably stayed on stage for an hour. It was an awesome fun night for me and my beau.. highlyrecommend and would definitely come again if this is the talent highlighted in this spot!!! Read more

This was a different experience in the area. Compared to NYC, you don't have a lot of options and, that said, it was OK. First... guy wasn't funny at all, last guy was the best. Food is also ok, but don't expect too much. Ultimately, everything is decentfor a decent price. My thing is, comedy can be respectful and funny! No need to be aggressive, groce or disrespectful to makepeople laugh. Wish comedians understood this so everyone could have fun without feeling attacked. But if with a thick skin, giveit a chance!
