Wow, we really enjoyed this place. It's German food with an American twist. The food was excellent and between reasonable and... pricey. The beer selection was good, our waiter was great. We knew it was a bier garden, but from the street there was littleindication that there would be an outdoor area for us to enjoy, we thought we were in the wrong place, but travel through thepub and there you are. Cool vibe, friendly service and a great beer selection. The kitchen staff are the real stars here, pumping out tasty and filling... dishes from a space smaller than most people's closets. Great bang for the buck on the food. The burger I ordered was bigger than I expected. Excellent beer selection. The only... drawback is the parking. It is street parking and that is minimal on the street it is located on. I parked on one of the sidestreets and walked. Not a deal breaker. Read more

So I ordered food from Shatzi's and wow I was impressed. Recently moved to the area and I've been trying different foods and... came across shatzis as I've been hearing good things. I order the shatzi burger, pretzel poutine, bratwurst, hamburger eggrolls. Upon entering the place it has a great vibe. There was a female at the bar who was very nice and had my order ready. Thefood was great there are no complaints. I highly recommend you try the Shatzi burger. I will definitely order again fromShatzi's. Read more
Me and my father decided to go into New Paltz yesterday and try out Schatzis Pub. Doesn?t look like much from the outside but... the inside is what matters, and the inside was nice very cozy. We sat at the bar he ordered the shatzi burger which lookedamazing my father said it was one of the best burgers he ever had. I had the steak sandwich and it was excellent, great tasteand aroma, was not to chewy, very filling, was a great choice and only 16$ I was very happy about it glad I went back and gotpictures this time. TL;DR: Good food fast. Craft beers. Good service. Seasonal outdoor seating. My companions and I had just walked the local trail... between the two bridges and were looking for a place with bar foods and a decent drink selection. This place is easy to miss, asit?s in the middle of a row of small businesses. The storefront is dark and at first glance I though they were closed. Uponentering there?s the standard bar area and behind that there?s a surprising amount of seating. There?s a single restroom, so ifit?s game day and you?ve got a tiny bladder, good luck to you. I ordered the sweet chili chicken wings which came with celery,carrots, and ranch sauce. My companions ordered sandwiches, both of which received positive reviews. The one downside was thecheese curds. They were bland and could?ve used a saltier, richer flavor. The curds became inedible once they reached roomtemperature. Hopefully a few minutes in the home air fryer will resurrect them. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive.Prices were reasonable. Read more
