It was delicious tasting food! I would recommend this place to someone looking for pizza that's not fast food! We had a... margarita pizza and the tomatoes taste like they were fresh out of the garden. The service was fabulous, although it was onlyone waitress working. I was still highly impressed! Read more

Fantastic pizza and atmosphere! Best pizza we've ever had! Our server and one of the kitchen staff (assuming the owners but... not verified) both chatted with us and even told tales of their time spent in our town as well as about their establishment.Very friendly and personable. We are staying in Prairie Du Chien as we fish on the Mississippi. Saw Muddy Waters in a travel brochure. So glad we tried it.... Absolutely great crust and the toppings are delicious. We will go back. Read more
If you are ever in Prairie du Chien you have to eat here!! Service was great, staff was friendly and let me tell you about the... food!! The garlic cheesy sticks were perfect!! The crust was the perfect combination of chewy but not too thick. And they arenot stingy with the sauce, which is DELICIOUS!!! The atmosphere was fun with oldies music playing in the background. Fantastic Amazing Pizza Homemade dough crust cooked just right homemade pizza sauce AND local ingredients. Best pizza hands... down, this pizza beats any in the Madison area. Staff are VERY attentive Owner came out personally to see how our food was. Thecheese bread was loaded with fresh cheese. I had my heart set on going to Pete's hamburger stand, But the line was quite long and I didn't want to keep my family waiting.... So we went to Muddy Waters. Service was pleasant, but the place seemed like it needed a solid cleaning. Un-bussed tables andempty cans behind the bar. The food tasted AMAZING - very generous toppings and a really crispy crust - myfavorite. But... The crust was peppered with debris from the oven. A good amount of flour/dough, even toppings burnt onto thebottom. The worst/most memorable part was the flies. It was a Constant fight. I had to get my wife a new drink because onedecided to go for a swim. There were dozens. Both the front AND back doors were open. The back door is in the kitchen.Definitely not sanitary. I waited a couple of days before posting this review to make sure that I wasn't doing it just becauseI was angry because of the situation. This is an honest accounting of what I felt could have been an amazing experience butturned into basically a nightmare. The bill for a family of 5 was almost $85 including tip. If they were to clean the place up,manage the insect problem, maybe have better air conditioning, clean the kitchen up, and get an additional waitress, this placecould be absolutely amazing 10 out of 10. As it stands right now it's a 2 only because the pizza tasted amazing even though itwas a bit horrifying once I looked underneath it. Bless her heart, the waitress offered a fly swatter to me when I went to goget the replacement drink for my wife. I know that she was only trying to make the best of a bad situation, but if you have tokeep a fly swatter in a restaurant like this then maybe do better mitigating the reasons why the flies are there.
